Michelle Fowler is supposed to be 50.
This new actress only looks about 38. It's stoopid.

Jenna Russell is about two weeks older than Sue Tully, so she's exactly the right age.

I thought Michelle was 47 or there abouts as she was 16 when she became pregnant with Vicki

More significantly. Why hasn't she got an American accent after being away for 20 years. The only sign of her time in America was when she was looking for her "cell"

In your own real life, have you not met someone from a different part of the World, maybe Scotland, or even a region of the UK, that keep their accent, even if they have lived in their new home for many years. |

I have lived in California for over 30 years, yet I retain my English accent, as do many British & Irish people I meet, if you move as an adult, you are likely to keep your accent, yet still refer to things by their American slang name.

Because she is BRITISH - she left BRITAIN aged 26 with a BRITISH accented and like most BRITISH people her age and over retained her BRITISH accent.

Whilst I appreciate what you're saying, more often than not, there will be a twang. In my own real life, that's what I've noticed I'm pretty certain she wouldn't be as cockney as Danny Dyer having lived in the states for that many years
When I lived in London, I worked with a Scottish man, he still had a heavy accent, despite having lived in London for a long time. |

oh yes there might be a small twang, but I don't find it odd that she did not change her voice patterns. Why doesn't anybody ask how come Steven doesn't have a kiwi accent?

I really like her but she reminds me of Steph McGovern from BBC Breakfast to look at.

She seems so dull. I remember the old Michelle as being a bit sparky and gobby with something about her.
