Will George Michael's death be mentioned by EE?
It'd be nice, continuity wise for Shirley and/or Ben to make some comment about how Hev will finally be able to get her hands on him. Heather was obsessed with him, borderline stalking him and knowing how close she was to Heather and how she brings her up all the time.
It's understandable if not tonight because it's boxing day and I dunno if they even film today but maybe in tomorrow's episode. |

They normally close the studios over Christmas and probably won't start filming until the new year.

I doubt it and in all honesty with so many big celebrities having died this year where do you draw the line of who to mention and who not to?
I doubt the cast will be back filming until after the new year now anyway. I actually don't like it when they do these edited scenes because its so forced into the script, its better not to do it all. |

Had it not been the cast's Christmas break, I expect they'd have filmed a short scene of Shirley mentioning it given Hev's love of him.

It was ironic that George Michael got a mention in Eastenders this week of all weeks, had the timing been different there might have been a line as a nod to Heather but now I think it will be too late

Maybe when he visits Phil in hospital Ben could have a tantrum and throw his Christmas selection box at him.
Sharon can break down in Chelle's arms that Phil was killed by a Careless Wispa. |

Ach it wasnt meant to be at GM's expense, as opposed to a daft pun but sorry for upsetting you. He was a great song writer and a kind soul by all accounts.

Take no notice, lovely. George had a fabulous sense of humour and never took himself too seriously.

We're proud of George in our family. He had the same surname as my mum's maiden name and his dad was from Cyprus like my grandparents so we've convinced ourselves we were related.
