No but my local supermarket has a big display of Mini Eggs and Creme Eggs out already. Absolutely no shame at all.

I thought they used to at least wait until 2 January. Easter isn't until mid April this year so why the rush?

They've always been available pre Christmas in the warehouses etc as pretty much every event is planned well over a year ahead.

Still got half of one from this Easter, added some chunks to my Boxing Day coffee to make a nice mocha.

I don't even get them at Easter so i definitely wouldn't get one at Christmas. I like chocolate, but i don't have a special day that i eat it on. I eat it chocolate when i feel like it.

Someone gave us a bag of Heroes chocolates and there's a creme egg flavoured one in it so maybe there's a demand for it other than at Easter time. I used to like them but find them too sweet now.

Chocolate tastes better when it's egg shaped.

Absolutely. Should be available all year. Creme eggs on sale locally and always have been before Christmas. And so what? As for actual Easter eggs, they aren't expensive and it's not like Christmas when you need to spread your spending, so really can't see why anyone would need to buy then this early. I always get them last minute. Also the chocolate is never that fresh by Easter. But seeing them makes me feel like spring is round the corner, so never a bad thing.

There isn't much from my childhood indoctrination that sticks but I still find it hard to think of eating hot cross buns any time before Good Friday. I did a couple of years ago but it felt wrong so I didn't enjoy them, even though I like the taste.

I will give chocolate bars or tubs of Celebrations instead of eggs.

I dont buy chocolate for the younger kids. I buy books, easter themed crafts, soft toys, sometimes slippers or anything with bunnies on instead.

a what bunny? Oh a Lindt bunny.
Easter egg right after the calorific christmas- not a chance have I bought one. Why on earth do we null a bank holiday with simple chocolate eggs. Seems heck of a waste of a public bank holiday. Christmas you got a feast, you got trees, you got lights, you got exchanges of gifts, you got carols, you got changes of TV schedule. Easter.... you got bunnies, and chocolate eggs, and hot cross buns. And Britain has to come to a standstill for that..
I got a cold- excuse the rant.

I have a little Lindt bunny on the sideboard, he's been there about 10 years now though so he's more of an ornament.

Seriously though, I don't even want to think about Easter eggs, it's still Christmas for goodness sake, talk about pushing the year on! Every single time another Easter or Christmas comes around it creeps into my mind that I and and everyone I know is yet another year older so I'm more than happy to let occaisions take their own sweet time to arrive, the longer the better.
