I got a set of wireless bluetooth headphones for Christmas which is great but my main purpose for using them would be for my online radio shows & podcasts that I do, and the plan is to connect the headphones to my CD mixer. However, there is no bluetooth in the CD players. Is there a way to do this?

I've seen adapters on Amazon but I'm not sure these are right. I think this is to plug in, say, a car, play audio from a device and it comes out of the speakers.

I would need to bluetooth to broadcast "out" rather than to "recieve" if that makes sense.

Help...?

(Also, sorry if this is the wrong forum but it could apply to TVs if I wanted to plug the adapter into a TV jack socket and listen on the headphones)

I use an Avantree adapter which has a switch to let it be used either as a transmitter (as you need) or as a reciever (so you can play music from your smartphone through an old stereo for example).

Ah. I think "transmitter" may be the key word here then. I presume you plug it in the headphone socket?

Yes, you do. Or Line Out is preferable if the mixer has one.

I have one of these...

Use it as a transmitter from my TV headphone socket, works great. RCA leads also supplied with it.
