Eastenders - Max Branning/Jake Wood Appreciation Thread
It is so good to have Max back!!! Can't wait to see what happens next.
Tomorrow's episode preview: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04lx3h1 I hope we find out what happened to him in prison, it's obviously had an effect. |

Jake was brilliant tonight. I felt so sorry for Max.

I hope we find out more tonight - I hope we begin to see the stuff that the viewers are supposed to see, but other characters don't know about

Great twist re. Max tonight! Wow
So has he internalised his anger and allowed it to turn into self hate...and that's why he's able to "forgive and forget" because he's taking it all out on himself instead. Hmm surely he still has revenge in mind...I'm not buying it! |

Me too. Apart from his close friendship with Stacey I never had much interest in Max before but he's fascinating now - poor guy. Just wanted to give him a cuddle last night.

Probably - it's definitely better than some silly revenge.
How will Max cope with Roxy's death? Could he take the cocaine? Seems a bit pointless having him find it otherwise. |

I always liked Max as a sort of best friend/older father figure but before he didn't do much other than compete with Jack and sleep around. Although he genuinely loved Emma that ended in tragedy but Jake's year out rebooted Max - there was potential with him growing close to Roxy but I'm not sorry Roxy and Ronnie were killed off as it takes Jack in a new direction sort of like Corrie's David Platt when Kylie died.

Max was wonderful tonight - trying to stay strong for Jack despite being shaken himself by the news though I wish he hadn't thrown away Roxy's drugs - a post mortem on Roxy's body would show that she had taken drugs anyway.
