I'm looking forward to this. I hope the production values are up to standard. There's a tendency sometimes, to cut corners on further repeats of established popular series.

I cannot wait. I hope it is better than series 3 which was mixed. I liked the first episode of series 3 and the last episode even though the ending was somewhat unusual regarding Morse and Joan Thursday. I really like Shaun Evans and Roger Allam though. I could watch them in anything. Bring it on!

Agreed, I also hope series 4 will be better than series 3 which was a mixed lot.
Again. 4 episodes according to IMDB:

I'm another one, that is hoping series 4 is better than series 3, series 3 was so weak compared with the previous two series and pilot.

I had no idea that series 4 was so close to transmission till I was flicking through the 'ITV Hub' and saw that they had the first three series on there, with a subtitle about catching up on the previous episodes before series 4 starts.

Can't wait. I prefer Endeavour to Morse.

He has the hots for Joan Thursday. I can't say as I blame him, either!

I assume you mean an excellent mix of stories. Have loved all the series so far.

Not sure what I have and have not seen.
Is there a summary somewhere for each show that I can read through so I can track down the ones I have missed ?

If only there was some way of searching out such information on the internet. They could call it an internet search engine...

And one with twins. ("It's never twins").

Series 3 was poor now I think about it. I hope this is better because I loved it previously.

Looking forward to return of Endeavour. Really liked Endeavour, and loved Lewis, but didn't like Morse - strange!

So excited. Wonder when we will see Joan again.?

According to the Mail telly mag. Shaun Evans wasn't too keen on the subtle anniversary references to the old Morse stories in this series. Be a bit hard as none of them will occur until decades later.
There's another series commissioned, but not finalised. We might see one more after that.

He won't be seeing Joan.

I agree with the comments about series 3 being substandard. Let's hope this series returns to form.

Totally agree re series 3 but I have high hopes for the new series, Shaun Evans is so good as Morse. Fingers crossed.

I much prefer this to Lewis. The main two characters are so much better, as are the actors. Love Roger Allam.

So do we think Bright deliberately stitched Morse up vis a vis the Sergeant's exam?

I wouldn't put it past him, isn't Bright a Freemason?
