Dunno, but my favourite song about George Michael was "Hey George!" by Andrew Ridgley on Spitting Image back in the 80's

The best song he ever recorded was As but I can't count that as it wasn't his song

One of my favourites of him singing was/is with Aretha Franklin (a big, big fave of mine)
I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) Could listen 24/7, absolutely love their performances.

A Different Corner is sublime.

I liked I'm Your Man by Wham - I generally preferred the more upbeat stuff.

George recorded Don Mcleans The Grave as a protest to the Iraq War.
Beautifully sad

Careless Whisper and Jesus to a Child are my favourites. However Wham's Wake me up before you go go is one of those songs that can catapult me back in time to a particular time, day, location and event. It was nothing particularly auspicious either, simply being in a car on a sunny, summer morning about to drive to a place in the Cotswolds to visit a company that made prefabricated buildings.

Have to agree with you regarding A Different Corner.

I do have a deep fondness for Careless Whisper too though - I have always thought that "guilty feet have got no rhythm" is a fantastic line.

I do agree with you about Wake Me Up Before You Go Go - I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard it, which is a bar in Tijuana called Tijuana Tilly's, just before the opening ceremony for the 1984 Olympics started. I was drinking a strawberry margarita and my younger brother was with me.

Funny how music can take you right back to a certain occasion, even to how you felt on that particular occasion.

I had a cassette tape of early Wham stuff and I must have played that thing hundreds of times on my tape deck. Wham Rap and Edge of Heaven were favourites. And Baby, I'm Your Man.

Also, 'Outside' - especially the music video. Was rather great to see him being tongue-in-cheek about the toilet incident!
