Faith. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cs3Pvmmv0E

Edit: I've just randomly remembered Louis Theroux singing it to the Westboro Baptist Church - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MieIkNIleu8
He was very good looking as a young man. For some reason just the way he claps his hands and dance, as in a lot of his videos and live on stage, is very charismatic

Not surprisingly George Michael songs have surged in the iTunes downloads chart

Do the royalties continue to go to his estate?

Don't understand why this happens when a singer dies. Do some think the songs will become obsolete now the artiste is dead or something,

His cover of First Time Ever I Saw Your Face was my favourite GM song. In fact, I loved all his ballads.

Maybe people *re-discover* the songs and realise they enjoyed them more than they thought, or to bring back memories

Do you think there could be a televised George Michael Tribute Concert, similar to the one for Freddie Mercury? I imagine many of the popstars who have expressed their condolences would do it... eg. Elton John, Duran Duran, Bryan Adams, Paul McCartney, Madonna and others... singing their cover picks of Wham/GM songs...

I would love to see Elton John singing. Dont let the sun go down on me with Andrew Ridgeley on guitar

Difficult one to answer - probably Different Corner. Takes me back to my youth and such a beautiful song. But as often happens with a death, I have been replaying my CDs and rediscovered so many songs of his that I haven't played in years.
Beautiful man, sadly missed.

And I'd like to see Bryan Adams doing a rendition of Faith, guitar and all...

That would be great

Maybe Pepsi and Shirlie could come back and do Wham Rap with Olly Murs singing

Maybe not Olly Murs

I like Freedom '84 better than '90.... Especially the bridge..."but you know that I'll forgive you / just this once, twice, forever"

I do agree with you about Wake Me Up Before You Go Go - I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard it, which is a bar in Tijuana called Tijuana Tilly's, just before the opening ceremony for the 1984 Olympics started. I was drinking a strawberry margarita and my younger brother was with me.

Funny how music can take you right back to a certain occasion, even to how you felt on that particular occasion.
Yes it really can can't it? And that particular track puts me right back in that car, in that street, that morning. I can feel the sun through the window and a feeling of expectation for the day ahead even though it was nothing particularly special.

Pretty damned hot as an older man too IMO. Pity I wouldn't have been his type. I was dissappointed when he came out I must admit.

One more try and a Different corner.
I also love Careless Whisper, Father figure and Spinning the wheel. Depends on my mood.
