a wonderful actress, and something of a professional 'dyer'... not only the most memorable norma in the royal family, but she 'died' in the vicar of dibley too, and as 'zillah' in lark rise to candleford.
'Can she have wafer-thin ham, Barbara?' Wonderful actress, great character. The Queen of Sheba has to be one of my favourite episodes of any TV programme - ever.
RIP Liz Lovely woman great actress & a lady who had a hard life to begin with
She brought up 2 kids on her own after her husband left her with no money (no help off state etc) & started acting much later in life
Don't forget she was also in 2 Point 4 children, Play for today amongst many films dramas plays etc-She probably be best known for Nanna in The Royal Family
Thanks Liz for entertaining us
The wonderful thing about Liz was that she did not start acting until she was 50 - a perfect example of how it is never too late to change your life for the better.
