It's a cobbled together story to write Mary out with. I don't know if the actress resigned or was sacked but it seems rushed either way. To be honest I find her annoying and I've often wondered what the actress is like in real life. It must get annoying playing a character like Mary for any length of time. I'd like to see her in something very different. I think she probably would like a new role too. I would if it was me.

I did think at first he's a conman but when she said he's spit of his dad kinda changed my mind also I'm not sure what the con would have been since Mary doesn't have anything to be conned out of. Does seem a bit rushed though but obviously it's had to be for her exit.

I think it would be more of a twist if he wasn't.

I may have missed the announcement, but has it been rumoured/implied that Mary is leaving Corrie? I would be sad to see her go, as IMO she is a talented actress - just not used in sympathetic story lines. I always enjoyed her relationship with Roy.
