Yes I agree. Maybe the actress is due a holiday so Mary might go for a month or so but I feel sure she will return, (probably after finding her daughter-in-law is a total biatch, or her son has some deep dark secret etc. I'd like to see her return and finally get together with Norris - they were always made for each other.

Seriously I was more curious about Mary's reluctance to tell him the whole truth about his father. Yes I know that having him know his father was a rapist would be dreadful - but I think it could be even more sinister than that. Has Mary ever mentioned her own father?

For me it would be. I loathe Sean - he's a selfish idiot played by one of the worst actors I've ever seen. But I find Mary even more unwatchable - a badly written comedy character with supposedly surreal/whimsical one liners that are not remotely funny or entertaining, delivered in such a stilted way that it seems like the actress is reading the lines for the first time and not really understanding her script. I appreciate this is a subjective opinion on a popular character but for me she is the worst character in the history of soap and, by comparison, Sean is a minor irritation!!

When my cousin died I went looking on FB for his long lost son, I came across some one with the right name and his photo was the spit of my cousin. It wasn't who I was looking for, but still can't get over the likeness.
And actually, I thought the actor had been chosen because of a passing resemblance to Mary.

You'd think that'd be the first thing they'd do, just to make sure that Mary found the right person. As someone said here, mix ups can happen even when you're sure of the resemblance.

I don't remember if his wife had just had a baby or was going to have a baby but he said that Mary could help look after her grandchild. Seems a bit odd to invite your birth mother, that you've only just met and don't even know, to come and live with you and your wife, who hasn't even met Mary to live in South Africa. Bonkers s/l
