Has it started yet ?

The only difference I can see is that previously the search facility was just utter shite, now it just lies in the corner in a pool of urine drinking buckfast and swearing in Esperanto.

Does anything DS plan actually happen ?

Extract the digits.

If you read the announcement pinned to the top talking about the change over and upgrade it had a valid from and to date. I don't know if that's a standard thing but I'm sure the end date is mid January which may mean they plan to do more work then.

It's only a guess of course but it would make sense. I imagine they didn't want to attempt to do work anywhere near Christmas incase it went wrong and the whole site came crashing down. Plus no site would mean no adverts and no money coming in.

I highly recommend reading the pinned announcements, they do explain what has happened so far and that it's being done in stages.

Yeah, even the people who run these forums will have been spending time with their families over the last week probably.

If the search function was fixed, I'd be quite happy to leave the forum as it is. Perhaps go back to the old colour scheme, but that's it.

I'm not interested in embedded images/videos, signatures, avatars, like/dislike buttons, as it's just forum clutter. Another bonus being that pages should load faster.

I'm with you (not literally, obviously ).

I don't use (or didn't use when it worked) the search function anyway, so it's neither here nor there to me, but I know it means a lot to people.

I certainly have no interested in images, signatures, avatars or liking/disliking posts without saying so by, you know, posting

At the bottom of the forums page their is a drop down box that says:

"-- Digital Spy"

click it and use "mobile forums" and you should be fine. That's how I use DS on my phone and tablet.
