... and yet you seem unable to explain why.

Maybe just have another 10 G&Ts, throw a sickie and don't go back until May.

I think you may find that whatever issue is troubling you ceases to exist after a couple of weeks - when they issue you with your P45.
I've not taken a sick leave day for over 5 yrs.

I would not wish a "P45" on anyone

I'm worried as that is the kind of woman I am. Happens after wevery weekend or leave

Thought about anti-depressants going to docs, tbut too many horror stories re these meds.

This thread makes me think of hamsters.

Or greg.

The PBU amnesty is going to be chaos.
It makes you think of Gregg's hamsters? Is that a new type of sausage roll?

So is it the job or yourself that is the problem, if its you changing jobs is not going to change anything, as you will have the same feeling about weekends and holiday breaks

Both i think. I want something less stressful as i have a lot of responsibility. Good points can drive down, park for free, hours 10 to 4 - only about 20-25 mins from home so saving mass of transport costs and time.

The bloke i hated got the sack a few months ago so that is good. My friends at work, mainly women all ok inc the 2 blokes.

If you dread going into work at the end of every weekend then it's definitely time to leave

Still determined not to explain WHY you are worried? Just keeping on saying it doesn't explain the nature of your alleged "worries" so it impossible for anyone here to say anything constructive.

Sounds quite a lot like attention-seeking to me, to be honest.

Presumably because you haven't made up that part of the story yet.
...

I prefer the threads where he - sorry, she - pretends to dim-wittedly agree with everything her daddy thinks, even though she cannot comprehend his reasoning.

In one or two of your other vanished threads, you were banging on about taking advice from parents.
So what do they say?

They start at 10am, it takes 20-25 minutes to get there. I reckon she was putting her coat on as you posted.

Or they had too many G&Ts yesterday and are pulling a sickie.
Or are on the playstation.

You live with your mum and dad, you also have your own property and you have a job which sounds pretty good in that it ticks a lot of boxes.
You have nothing to worry about.

Assuming anything in these threads is true.
Well who knows with anecdotal threads. But as we've zero evidence eitherway, then surely it's best to go with the thread question, even if in theory only if you are sceptical. Or just ignore.

I never or very rarely post anything anecdotal in here anymore, save for the practical or most banal, for the simple reason that I'm immediately accused of making it up.

Well, the age discrepancy didn't help them.

I don't know why you would be accused of making things up, you have been here donkey's years. Says a lot more about the accusers than you.

All office jobs are essentially the same and the enjoyment of them only depends on the quality of colleagues and Line Managers.

I started a new job in the first week of January last year and it was pretty exciting starting a new year with a brand new workplace and meeting new people. I did the same the year before as well.

For me there's something a bit depressing about going back to the same job after Christmas/New Year.

Hi

Very foggy in London theis AM and again now.

Had to pour hot water over my car as still full of ice at 9-30.

Got to work half asleep and hungover from last night but was within the limit re drink/drive as we keep a alcohol tester.

A least the office was warm, acutally too hot opened the widow by my desk, few others already in, good news was they were even more pissed of than me. Most had thought about changing jobs.

A quick coffee and toast, chatch up on xmas, did som work just after 11 - we went out for lunch about 12 and back at 2, left for home 3-45 - credit to our manager for being in the holidays mood. Tomorrow should be easier as I'm off from Friday for a week and a bit.

You are lucky mate. I find it diffuclt even after wekends or a day off - the longer I'm away from work the worse it gets.

Good luck

I can't help wondering, does your office job not involve much typing?

You mean number crunching, normally accompanied by a report or summary.

An analyst, eh? Well you certainly wouldn't want to make any typos while figure crunching.

So you don't use a keyboard at work. Do you use a pencil instead?
