Hhmm, well he could always have continued busking for a few pence at Tube stations and DJ'ing in clubs and schools. Given the opportunity which eventually came along later i think 'being papped' is a very small price to pay.

What a bloody idiot. Now that's the sort of thing which should be seen as disrespectful.
For all George Michael's flaws it's more respectful to see him as a warts and all individual who will be remembered for who he was, not reduced to him just being a label.
Like you say George being gay was just one aspect out of everything which made up his identity as an individual.
How embarrassing it would be to be remembered for being good at being gay. That would diminish somebody as a person in their own right.

Same with Elvis "Found dead on the Toilet", Sadly there are some similarites with Elvis and George. Looks like both put a lot of weight on before they died and had drugs issues.

As for him being an 'icon' he is no icon of mine thank you very much. So he was a great artist. It doesn't qualify him as a saint and his lifestyle certainly doesn't. People these days seem to have lost all perspective.
Just because someone dies doesn't mean you should airbrush their problems and make them out to be something they weren't. And maybe his early death will make others take stock - should it be found to have been linked to his lifestyle.”

Oh look, you said the magic words.... Now i know to discount anything else you have to say on the subject.

Hammering the drugs and partying hard takes its toll eventually, why are you dismissing that with such (typically) sneering contempt?
