What do you mean what on earth is going on? You do realise people die every hour

Average 1,640 every day in the UK and around 600,000 every year.

A classic book made into a classic film.
Hope the spirit bunnies make you feel at ease, Richard....RIP.

Watershed down, what's that about? A load of rabbits who have to go to bed before 9pm?

A great campaigner for animal rights and a World War II veteran as well.

I remember seeing the cartoon as a very young child - both incredibly brutal and beautiful.

The natural world in a nutshell.

Kirk Douglas lock yourself in your bedroom.

Can't have just died because there's a thread from an hour ago.

More sad news. His books were great favourites in this family. He was also an animal rights activist and supported the Born Free Foundation.

R.I.P.

I remember going on an animal rights protest march in London in the 80s. Richard gave a speech.

The animated version of Watership Down is so haunting.

at his funeral it's going to be emotional, a string quartet will play 'run, rabbit, run'

Sad news.

A great tale he wrote. I guess the sky is red just now.

Another one, crikey.

Mind, along with Liz whatserface, he'd had a damn good innings.

He hasn't "just died", by the way. It's "just been announced" that he "passed away peacefully at 10pm on Christmas Eve". There seems to be an assumption that all news is instantaneous. It isn't.
