I really feel for her dog Gary. People don`t realise how much animals go through when they loose their companions. I can probably guess at this moment in time Gary is laying on a chair wondering where she is, but he knows something is wrong.

Gary is mental also. My mother says Gary is a hooligan. Gary is like my heart,” Fisher told The Herald Tribune in 2015. “Gary is very devoted to me and that calms me down. He’s anxious when he’s away from me.”

Hope Billie or close family look after him.
I agree. Dogs are so closely bonded to their main carer that they suffer the loss in a similar way to a family member (yet they can't understand why someone has gone).

I only hope that because Carrie travelled a lot (due to her work) that her dog is accustomed to (and happy) being with family members.

Out of all the deaths this year, this one has saddened me the most. Probably because I'm such a huge Star Wars fan, but I'm also such a big fan of her.

RIP Carrie.
Same here, was really upset yesterday and I felt a bit silly that I was in tears over a celeb death But this was Leia from our childhood,.

Rest in peace Carrie Fisher. I'm genuinely a bit gutted over this.

He went everywhere with her. Even travelling overseas. He was on the flight with her.

Not saying he won't be happy with her family but I feel for him. He will miss her for sure.

It's been confirmed that Gary will now live with Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher's daughter. Apparently she already has another dog who Gary is best friends with so at least that's a bit of positive news.

She is an elderly lady who has lost her daughter, it may kill her.

Carrie passing has had a more profound effect on me than I would've thought.

I was the perfect age for Star Wars (7) when it came out, so, she's 'hard-wired' to my youth - that is - the best bits of my youth. She truly meant alot to me, and even after Star Wars finished in 1983 I still kept an eye on her life & bought the books, etc.

Having had some close calls with my own mental health - she was also the the 'go to' person I sought out, due to her own amazing take on the world and the way she put it into words.

Her humour & off-kilter view of the world will be missed.

I keep having 'moments' where i start sobbing. Childhoods End.. My Princess has gone.

And now Debbie Reynolds has gone. Billie has Gary & hopefully Todd has their backs.

Nothing more to say aside from - 'Thankyou Carrie x'

Billie was actually Gary's original owner. Her mother fell in love and kinda stole him which while funny is also now kind of sad.

Apparently actor Steve martin has caused outrage by saying when he first met Carrie he thought she was the most beautiful creature he'd ever seen. If this is true about the outrage then that's absolutely ridiculous.

Unfortunately you will be AMAZED at the utterly ludicrous things people will get truly upset about on the Internet these days, people aren't kidding when they say we're living in a culture of outrage because so many people seem to be using the Internet as an excuse to be angry or upset with something, it's a joke. I thought his sentiment was quite nice and it was clearly a bit of lighthearted humour... from a comedian no less...

The full quote is:

"When i was a young man Carrie Fisher was the most beautiful creature i had even seen. She turned out to be witty and bright as well"

He's wording is pretty terrible so i can see how some would get the wrong idea, especially when you are dealing with someone who was so whip smart like Carrie was.

He obviously didn't mean it but it's worded so badly the second part seems like an afterthought.

If there ever was a time for paparazzi to leave someone alone, now would be it. Billie Lourd does not need or deserve them trying to catch her every movement. Who on earth needs or wants to see pictures of a person whose mother and grandmother just died? And any website or blog trying to insert a witty Taylor Lautner joke in, when he's being there as a supportive person for her... Just no.

.
He's gayer than a sequin clutch purse held by Liza Minnelli at the TONY Awards and he and his management team should be ashamed of themselves. To be pushing the supportive boyfriend narrative at a time like this is gross.

He told you this personally? Does it really matter if he's there for Billie as a friend or boyfriend? The sniggering, snide comments about Taylor are more harmful than anything else, tbh.

I think it was the fact the first thing he noticed was her looks and not her talent that outraged some. He did get support, those were saying they're addicted to outrage and to get a grip. I agree it probably could have been worded better but it come from a good place. It's a shame these morons couldn't see that.

Its got to a ridiculous point now where you can't even compliment someone without being accused of being a sexist. Totally ridiculous.
