School's Career Adviser

Your ideal career is as a hotel receptionist (this advice was based on a very odd computer programme, which also told a friend of mine to become a chimney sweep. He later graduated from Durham and now has a career somewhere in the legal profession, I think).
I hope he remembers and offers free legal advice to chimney sweeps. But we had one of those reports. Spat out 3 choices and the two of mine I remember were Army and Landscape Gardener. But I had no desire to join the cloud punchers.

But worst advice was probably to drop down a weight from light heavweight to middleweight. Much starving, grumbling and occasional drooling for food ensued.

(Oh, and respect for those encouraging women to do STEM!)

"Vote Labour son. They represent people like us".
I like that one, although I'm a tad nervous for saying so on here.

Let's go skiing, you'll pick it up in no time.
No really it's fun.........

I feel your pain.
swap skiiing for rock climbing and you have the worst advice i was ever given. (Half way through the climb the anecdote about the person who had a heart attack at this point last week and fell to their death in the chasm below really added to the enjoyment of it)
