I actually felt quite embarassed as an English woman and would not like her to be considered representative of us all. It's ok to have an opinion and disagree - but she yelled like a banshee, determined to shout him down, really bad manners and she was what you might term a guest in their Country. He should have told her to mind her own business, it's their politics not ours.

Well that is all they chose to show us.

Who was the other feller in the previous series?
Miriam Margolyes, Wayne Sleep, Sylvester McCoy, Roy Walker, Rosemary Shrager, Bobby George, Patti Boulaye and Jan Leeming. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06z8840

I remember Roy Walker but can't for the life of me remember Sylvester McCoy

When was she racist?

American isn't a race is it?
I agree but the "lefties" call people who voted for Brexit "racist" because they MIGHT have voted that way because the don't like the uncontrolled numbers of EU residents coming to the UK and people who say anything against "Muslims" are also called this by the bleeding heart liberal left, so whats the difference?

I take it you voted "out" judging by your understanding of these things.

He was the one who butted into their conversation with his bigoted pro-Trump views. She had every right to call him out for interrupting a private conversation. I don't blame her for getting irate.

The put-on accent was a bit silly, though.
If she'd spoken in an English accent though, we'd no doubt have been treated to a five-minute rant from the opinionated oaf about how the English weren't entitled to an opinion because he'd saved our asses in the war.

"Out and About", a new series starring Miriam Margolyes and Jeremy Clarkson..
What a series that would make.
I'd buy the box set.

I found it odd that during the slanging match with the rich old man, Mirium was shouting with a pronounced American accent. Did she think it added gravitas, I wonder. Still, at least he may not have cottoned on that she was from the UK, saving us some embarrassment at least.

There is a saying 'beauty is as beauty does' and if that awful woman would ever stop to wonder why others think her ugly, then she would have her answer there.
She's done lots of films in the US where she's done a variety of US accents. I remember seeing her being interviewed on a chat show a few years ago. She went through about a dozen different accents she'd used in film and TV shows over the years. Everything from a Brooklyn accent to a Russian one, via Welsh and Scottish.

She's a rather typical luvvie type though. She reminds me a lot of my mother, which is why I always return from my home town on Boxing Day - it's about as long as I can stand, who also has a habit of taking on the accent of the person she's talking to/ranting at. There are no small disagreements as far as my mother is concerned. You either agree with her or you're wrong and she will tell you all the ways you're wrong and she'll use your accent while she does it.

Well you wouldn't think that stupid old bufoon was representative of all Americans, would you?

Seriously? So it's not going to affect the rest of the world? I was in America in the summer and had plenty of debates about the election along with debates about Brexit, it's good to see things from an outsiders point of view. The old idiot started the argument, he was in the wrong.

Miriam is one of those people who always wants to get their own way and bullies anyone to get it.

I don't think I'd want to live in the same country as any of them, especially Miriam (is she supposed to be famous? I vaguely recognise the name but I have no idea what for)

Those taxis, though obviously new, are based on a 1970s car it looks like. Sort of Retro

I take it you're one of those young people I keep hearing about. Is she supposed to be famous? I despair!
