Isn't there a new series coming out with new people in Goa later on this year?

Miriam is one of those people who always wants to get their own way and bullies anyone to get it.
Exactly, quite an obnoxious lady. If you think you can fart in anyone's face just because you feel like it, why travel to Japan, just stay at home and fart away.

Miriam was better in Japan than America and had some interesting things to say. Shame she can be so rude and abrasive.

Love their taxis. Where else do they upholster the seats with net curtains!

Shame that somebody would not choose to live in a country because it's not acceptable to fart where and whenever they want.
Guess what. A lot of people are probably not happy with you farting over here but turn a blind eye.

She's an embarrassment to Britain and an embarrassment to Hogwarts.

Its so crowded. The roads are small, as are the houses. But it looks appealing
You make it sound like England.

We fancy visiting japan for perhaps 3 weeks along with a few days in Hong kong as Ive always fancied that but we will stick out like sore thumbs!
I loved Hong Kong as it is such a crazy but accessible mix of East and West but wasn't too keen on Japan. Everyone is incredibly friendly but it just felt a little too alien.

I found it interesting to see how different Miriam was in Japan. She was polite and respectful, whereas Florida brought out the worst in her. I understand this actually, because some aspects of the USA are intolerable and the pro-Trump supporters probably would have made me equally furious, and I am a very polite person. Japan looks fascinating and health issues prevent me from travelling these days, but otherwise I would be off there myself. Japanese food is wonderful and very healthy.

This has been a great series and the original India episodes were great too. Look forward to the next lot.

She wasn't as bad in Japan. Still loud, but far more restrained.

Ah might watch on catch up then. She just ruined the other one for me, so rude and entitled, i saw it advertised tonight and deliberately avoided it because of her attitude

Yes, a few people have avoided it because of her antics in the last episode.

She was only restrained in public though, behind closed doors she was still swearing and farting, but she was very polite to her hosts, which I was worried about. Their hosts were lovely.

Give it a go DD, I think you'll enjoy it. Very different to the Florida episode. Miriam did try hard to find out what the customs were and to respect them.

Clearly Miriam has a problem with America, as she was completely different in this episode

America is known, by many, as being brash and I suppose she went with that mentality, who knows...I found that prog, although amusing at times, how I imagined USA to be - artificial, OTT, plastic rich etc.

Personally out of the two I'd prefer Japan - the history, architecture and, of course, the people. It all seems so much more "normal" than America.

Those were my feelings when I lived in America.

Did you notice the blank reaction when Miriam asked about Museums/Galleries etc and wondered where all the books were? Totally different priorities etc

I felt like a fish out of water, despite making many friends who were far more liberal than those shown in the programme

Spoke volumes didn't it. The estate felt too clinical, not my kind of place.

No, obviously not, but in most towns and cities here, you're never that far from theatres/museums/libraries/places of historical interest/public footpaths in the countryside etc : should you like that sort of thing

Which I do,and which I missed terribly.
