I do feel for him but that was one of the worst managerial appointments in recent times.

So the attempt by the club's owners to build a little American enclave in the Premier League fails.
Hopefully they'll now realise their folly and choose the next manager on his ability to get results rather than his nationality. |

It was always a strange appointment considering his lack of top flight football experience.
IT would be nice to think Swansea would take a punt on a British manager from the Championship, but no doubt they will bring in another foreigner. |

I remember reading Giggs pulled out of taking the job as he wasn't happy with the set up?

Nearly everybody except the Swansea board could see that appointment had disaster written all over it.

Not surprising ofc but how tough is it these days in the Premier League. Just 11 games in charge, didn't get chance at a transfer window to bring his own players in.
Not exactly a job that will look very inviting to managers... especially ones who are already at a club (Like Monk and Hughton). |

What bad timing.
Big Sam was available just a few days ago. |

The wrong decision was not firing him, but in hiring him in the first place, especially at the time that they did, with no pre-season for him to adjust.

Not a big surprise. Not really sure why he was hired in the first place. So giggs is early favourite. Swansea go from someone who didn't have any experience in the prem to a manager who doesn't have any experience at all. Do they really want that kind of manager for a relegation battle. I'd go with pardew.

They'll probably hire Pardew. He'll start off well, keep them up, then reveals how average he really is next season.
They'd be taking a massive gamble if they hire Ryan Giggs. A gamble that they can't afford to lose. |

Yeah I'd be surprised if it wasn't Pardew.

That list is a depressing one, as it shows the lack of options out there at this time, whomever they appoint at this stage will be facing one heck of a tough job.

Not sure why Rodgers is on it. He's just took over at celtic. Rowett might be a possibility but they really should be going with someone with both prem experience and fighting relegation.

I don't think Bradley is necessarily a terrible manager but clearly the players just didn't buy into his ideas - or take him seriously. |

I think Brendan Rodgers will always be linked with a move back to Swansea. He's an easy link to make.

I can't see him going back to one of his former clubs at this stage, not while he is doing as well as he is at Celtic, plus he is almost guaranteed at least a Champions League qualifier whilst he is there, which is very different to taking over at a relegation threatened Swansea side.
Swansea does not meet that criteria |
