That is of course one way to look at the situation, and a very credible one at that
Please don't try to patronise me.

It is if course hard to know which way things might go, but of course things were not looking good there for him, and perhaps a new manager coming in, with the added advantage of having the window, might improve their fortunes for the rest of the season.
A new manager might also have the advantage of being a better manager. His entire reign suggests that a transfer window won't have seen a miraculous turnaround.

Giggs wouldn't save them IMO. Not enough experience.

I did read pre-season that many of their fans weren't happy with the way things were being run. Throw in the size of the club and looking at what they typically spend on transfers (nothing) then it's not much of a surprise that they'd eventually find themselves where they are. They've arguably overachieved for a good few years and are now regressing to their norm.

That doesn't mean that they shouldn't try and do anything about it and see if a new manager can save them. Whoever it is will have a tough job, just as Bradley did as they've been in a downward spiral for a while now.

Hire another manager who has been sacked for being stuck near the bottom of the table despite spending a fair bit.

I think Pardew is best avoided at this time tbh.
One thing in his favour would be that he does tend to start quite well and they do need an immediate impact. They could always give him the job and sack him in the summer before he has his dip next season.

Sorry if it came across like that, but I was not for one moment trying to at all patronise you, that was never my intention with that post at all.

Perhaps you are tight, and he was just the wrong man at the wrong time, and things had to be rectified asap.
His appointment was a left field one that was for sure, it will be interesting to see just what sort of manager they appoint next, as currently they are bit exactly the most appealing of clubs, however a Premier League managers job will always be of interest to people, so I am sure that they will have a fair number of people willing to give it a go.

I did say he'd start well, then next season they'd see just how average he is. They could do with the new manager bounce that he brings. The problem is he'll be there after this season. He'll do well and they'll want to keep him on. Then the real Pardew comes out.

If they want someone with an American connection, they might go for Klinsmann.

Ahh, I blame my somewhat chubby fingers, and the small margins between the letters "r" and "t" on my phone!

Try using more than 'a bit', then.

Yeah, sure, unless it gets you relegated. I'm sure you'll love Pardew at WBA after Pulis goes.
Pullis will not be going any time soon( I hope ). The club have just bought him a new tracksuit.

Whoever they appointed would have not had a pre-season. Why would a caretaker be any more able to navigate that hurdle than someone they identified as the person they wanted for the job?
Well at least if they appointed a Caretaker manager and the team is still struggling then he would not be sacked after ten games

I was kinda rooting for him, especially after Robbie Savage's ridiculous column full of outrage that Ryan Giggs did not get the job and the shock horror that job interviews matter. Overall it was probably a poor place for a manager new to the English league to start it be interesting to see if he gets another opportunity.

In terms of the replacement honestly can't think of a name available. I know some have said Pardew but to put it bluntly I don't rate him and see nothing in this Swansea side to suggest they will even get the honeymoon period.

Swansea's season has been very like when Fulham went down for me. Bob Bradley was a Felix Magath style gamble (even though they are completely different characters)

Fair analogy
