One of my friends splashed out on noise cancelling and said they were brilliant.
How much do you want to spend?

Not worried about price,so long as they are comfortable and do the job.
Don't often do long haul so probably won't be used again.
Thanks

If you are only going to use them once, then something like this should suit

I know but you suggested spending that much on a pair of earbuds to use once.

I have a pair of noise-cancelling Sennheiser ear buds. Would recommend them, the ones I have aren't that expensive - only about £40. I recently had to use a pair of cheap ones I'd got and they were crap!

But they are crap unless your in First Class, even their business class earphones are rubbish, the one noted here seeinheiser is very good and I use mine all the time on long haul overnight flights.

I use noise cancelling Bose ones. Very effective, and cut out all the background droning that standard ear buds have. You might need an adapter though - I kept one from a flight years ago and the ear bus plug right into it.

And on long haul, you can use noise cancelling just switched on with no music playing - it still cancels out all the surrounding chatter to give you a near silent sleep!

Don't some of the crap airlines still use those awful double-jack connections? It might be worth purchasing an adaptor at the same time if you were planning on using the onboard entertainment with your own headphones. They are a couple of quid on Amazon.

Just come back from USA. They do give you earphones but, they are not good. I had my own but, had to give them to one of the little ones as issued ones were too big for him and hurting his ears. After 9 hours they were hurting my ears too. Far from the best sound quality also.

Get your own if you can.

Edited to add: Hunt for the Wilderpeople was such a good film. Would highly recommend.

I'd say JVC HAFX5 Gumy Plus Noise Isolating Headphones.

The come in assorted colors.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/JVC-HA-FX5-...0R3GCV246KRB08

From about £6 depending on the color you want.

And then buy the adaptor so the you can use them on the flight
