A really good point you've made here. You're right. I have a friend who lives in Israel and he's very happy there.
And I have a friend who points out when Israel oversteps the mark.

He gets random stalking and harassing phone calls.

He tells them to eff off, but it's a creepy throwback to the old Cold War games.

The Israeli state does whatever is necessary to keep the Israeli people safe and prosperous.
So do allot of colonisers whether the displacement is old or new. That doesn't mean the people they displace and subjugate in order to ensure their happiness don't have the right to fight for the same for themselves. And the right to self-determination is a much moral re modern concept

I read about an unofficial experiment a couple of years ago ( no link sorry) at a uni where two students pinned flags to their door, one a Palestinian flag and one an Israeli.
The Palestinian was left untouched while the Israeli was torn down and left shredded outside the door by lunchtime.
What name wrote-
"And what does that have to do with anti-semitism? Those are political statements about nations not a race of people."

Yes youre right and of course if it was the Palestinian flag shredded nobody would be calling out racism.

How do the "phone trolls" get his phone number? I don't know what else to call them, sorry. Does he run a blog or vlog or something about Israel with his phone number on? There are some people who just like being stupid. If he gets nusiance calls from witheld numbers then he can block unknown / witheld numbers from most phones. I know of someone who campaigns against Israel and she blamed Zionists for "killing her cat" when she really has a chaotic druggy lifestyle and it was probably someone unsavoury she's met that way. I wouldn't put my private phone number online. If he's running a campaign and puts contact details online then it's par for the course I'm afraid. It'll just be some weirdy youth in his bedroom making phone calls. If he's being threatened then he should go to the police.

He's an Editor in the mainstream Media.

I don't suppose it's difficult to get hold of internal telephone lists.

All his colleagues get the calls too even whenever a not wholly sympathetic piece goes out.

They get a rant for not being balanced or wrong etc

It's bullying and an attempt at silencing really. But they won't be cowed, hence the eff off.

Alastair Campbell used to do the same for Tony Blair. All part of the game.
