I'm pretty bored with them now, they've had their day me thinks on TV and whilst I agree they are great films, like the bond movies I think it's time to find something else to repeat twice a year

Potter should have told him that he could take his blood and buggered up the spell

They could have just sent him a port key in the post - no need for all the competition nonsense

Nope, not watching the movies and I've no intention of reading the books either, its something to do with wizards & dragons and such like I believe?

I've got all 8 films on DVD, so can watch without adverts.

I don't like what ITV are doing on Thursday night by splitting the film in and showing the film part way through the film. At BBC show their films in full with no news interruptions.

No, no. It's about people who have no interest in various topics being unable to prevent themselves seeking out discussion threads on said topics and commenting even though they have nothing to say.

Harry Potter and the No Bloody Point But I'm Going To Do It Anyway.

I have all of them on Blu Ray but at this time of year when you are staying at home and being a bit lazy or not feeling too well then you can't help but watch some of it. Definitely going to watch HBP & DH1 & 2 in full though.

Haha I'm the same, my sister really overdone the HP marathons. I'm going to have a two year break from the books and movies then watch/read them before fantastic beasts 2. My family are watching the movies on ITV tho, I just listened to some of the soundtrack instead truly magical.

Quite so. I watched 10 minutes and found myself becoming distracted by the thought of dusting. I can accept Timothy Spall getting involved in this type of stuff but was that really Ralph Feinnes without a nose ?

Standard for J.K. Rowling's woeful story-writing abilities. She borrowed most of the HP Universe from other works (predominantly Groosham Grange), then struggled to develop it any further, leaving gaping plot-holes and under-developed characters in her midst.

I'm forever mystified as to why the books became as successful as they did.

I do like them but I think a lot of success is right place right time right marketing with anything
Great works of literature will never have the appeal of this kind of thing

Because it may occur to you that Voldemort wanted to put on a show. Harry dying mysteriously, in a maze no one can see would've worked to his advantage....he kills Harry, touches the cup and returns to the front of the maze, with an audience.

Sending him a port in the post may not reach him, and aren't Harry's posts tampered with by the ministry because of Sirius Black's wearabouts?

Whilst it's great fun watching the cream of Britsh TV over the last few decades having an absolute blast. The actual internal logic of the Wizard world is stupendously all over the shop. The character development and exposition is all new levels of poor.

They are however extremely charming movies with some wonderful set pieces and a supporting cast any movie would die for.

Having only ever seen the first movie catching up with the rest has been very entertaining.
