Unable to use digital camera
Could not find a section for Camera listed so out this post in this section. My wife has a Samsung WB35F Camera as we went away for ten days over Christmas to our daughters she took the camera. When she tried to use it it said battery low so she plugged it in and went own the town got back and it still says low battery,It shows no light when plugged in and the zoom lens does not go back in.Nothing happens when we press the on/off button.Just wondered if anyone has any idea of what the problem may be.I thought it might be the battery needs replacing. Will go back to the dealer we got it from tomorrow to see what they say unless I can sort it out.Have checked online and can get a new battery for £5.99 so will see what they say and also what they would charge for a battery

As we only have a quick start guide I decided to find a user manual which I did .I created a folder in my documents and saved it there. But when I tried to open it got the following message.Windows photo viewer can't open this picture because either photo viewer doese'nt support this file format or you don't have the latest update for photo viewer. Can someone advise as to what I need to do.I was going to attache the message here but not sure how to attache it.Thank's again

Good morning Paul and Happy New Year. Quote:
shows no light when plugged in Simply put, you've been sold a dud. Take it back with your receipt to wherever you got it and then check out Argos where you can pick up a better camera for less.zoom lens does not go back in Nothing happens when we press the on/off button photo viewer doesn't support this file format I've never bought a Samsung camera and just checked the specs and RRP of your WB35F, here are a couple of recommendations. Sony Cybershot 20MP Nikon Coolpix 20MP |

I think the problem is the charger it'self I plugged my phone charger lead which is the same into the camera and plugged it into the power socket and it worked. My wife has the same lead for her phone so can use that to charge the camera temporarily untill I can can find a replacement.

Regarding this question these are all PDF files.Installed Adobe reader but still the same. This is a fairly new problem.
Windows photo viewer can't open this picture because either photo viewer doese'nt support this file format or you don't have the latest update for photo viewer. |

Windows photo viewer can't open this picture because either photo viewer doese'nt support this file format or you don't have the latest update for photo viewer. The simple way to fix this is to right click on the PDF file and select Open With from the pop up menu. Then select Adobe Reader as the program to open the file with. There should also be a tick box saying something like "Always use this program to open files of this type" or something like that. Make sure that is ticked before you click OK to open the file. That should now associate PDF files with Adobe Reader and allow them to open normally from now on. |

A good lesson for any gadget: Always check the charger first.

For some reason Windows has associated PDF files with Photo Viewer and not Adobe Reader.
