I don't watch religiously, so I might have missed something, but last time I really remember him being around, he was splitting up with Priya but she agreed to carry on giving him somewhere to live.

I certainly miss him.... for... valid reasons.

Nicola still have to found out it is Rakesh who's responsible for her condition to be left paralysed.

They have no clue what to do with him. Hes a viable character with a lot of potential, tge actor can act, but they have no clue how to use him.

A lot of characters are disappearing from the show at the moment and then only reappearing when it suits the storyliners.

Rakesh must be one of the many casualties.

I think that's a bit harsh tbh. He's had plenty of sls since he arrived, even if we don't necessarily like them, (which I don't as I fancy the pants off him and have hated to see him being turned into a very weak man). Normal character rotation means he's not going to be in every ep and it's not unreasonable that he goes on the back burner for a bit, just like most other characters do.

Actually, Rakesh has had a fair bit of screen time, because he's been on this continuous downward spiral since his feckless ancient teen son legged it last year. Pierce was out to get him for a while (because Kirin killed Tess), he was involved with Chrissie over Andy's exit, he burnt down the flats for the insurance, and now he's lost Priya.

I'd still like him to get his act together. I always wanted his daughter to turn up, that'd be good. Plus, a new romance. Leyla will be available once she finds out that Pete's been shagging his aunty and his Mum is a swivel-eyed murderer.

Mmmm , defo agree with you on that, he's well sexy! Hated how pathetic and weak he turned recently , especially when he let Jai (who I cant stand) speak to him like a piece of shit. Grrrr the hypocrisy of Jai is breathtaking, the way he's behaved towards women etc, in the past and he had the nerve to pull him up for his behaviour

When people disappear I generally just think they must be on stage or at this time of year in panto. Have to admit though I hadn't noticed he'd gone !

Bob and Meghan spring to mind. They vanish quite a lot.

Megan especially was the one that I was thinking of. Vanessa too. Pearl, Rhona (even with her current story she is barely on screen) Eric, I'm sure there are more.

Rhona's is obviously going to come to the foreground as her storyline picks up but it leaves me curious as to what storylines the others will get as surely it will be their turn soon.
The Sharma's have all been noticably absent for the most part as well not just Rakesh.

Rakesh got so boring near the end of the last storyline I've been glad to have a break from him! But when he comes back I hope they hook him up with Chrissie. They had some good chemistry and although I didnt mind him with Priya, Im even more tired of whiny Priya than Rakesh and think he'd be more interesting to watch sizzle with Chrissie than continuing to simper on with her.

Priya has many reasons to be whiny with Rakesh with all the bad, even criminal, things he's done. The thing I don't like about her is that she kicked out then took him back. No way would I have taken him back! In fact I'd have called the police over the way he changed baby Johnny's paternity test result.

Nico is responsible for Nico's injury. She shouldn't have broken in. If she hadn't broken in, she wouldn't have got hurt.
