thought there would be mention of it here - last night "i'm late .." - but can't find anything ?

so - if there isn't anything, is she or is she not - or is she but will suffer miscarriage if and when Lee "departs"

I think she's just going to be late - I can't see another miscarriage for the same character so soon and I don't think EE needs another young single mum although a baby would keep Whitney in with the Carters; she does work well with them.

hope she isn't - sick and tired of pregnancies off and on screen - and all the kids, my darling Vincent now also reduced to nappy changing - like Phil once was when he took care of Lexi, and Jack - like he runs a nursery. Pathetic

I think there will be a lee and whitney baby this time, it keep the ties with the Carters and other than that there isn't much reason to keep her in the Square, she doesn't really have any other connections now, her giving birth in say eight months time might be a reason for Linda to abandon mother and come home which could be the right timing for Kellie to be back from her real lift maternity leave

If Lee does die, it would give Whitney a reason to still be with the Carter's.

Usually I think it spoils characters when they get lumbered with babies but in Whitney's case it would give her a good reason to remain part of the Carter family when Lee leaves.

I think Oz' next demand will be Whitney !

didn't he ask about her last night?

if Oz does want her for some fun, then I think Lee will be capable of anything.

"do the unthinkable" - suddenly gets another meaning .... turn off life support / hand over your wife ....

Actually, medically speaking, right after miscarriage is the easiest time to conceive again.

Lee is really close to losing it with Oz. Hope Oz gets his comeuppance. He is a great villain for the Lee storyline, but I can't see him being a long term character. There's no history or back story with him, like other villains. He's just a nasty workplace bully.

They really don't need another young mother, or new mother at all. At 24 Whitney has made it farther than most Walford women before having a baby. I'm practically a dried up old spinster compared to soap women.

I am sort of glad they did the abortion plot with Libby. It was accurate of them to show a woman in her mid 20's(or so) who really considered and thought about it. Often with the young mother's in soap, it all just works out usually. A lot of people of my generation and probably this will be even more true for the next generation - have a lot to consider when having children. I am pretty sure if my mom was my age now, she might have felt differently. I think about the growing population, what will happen with mass automation of jobs ect.

Agree 100%, I'm sick of EE lumbering young characters with kids, I mean look at Lauren destined to have 101 kids by 101 fathers no doubt. Back in the day young women got far more on EE than just become baby machines like they currently are. I mean look at Janine, she was in her 30s before they ended up throwing a baby onto her.

Also the obsession with the young characters on EE with settling down, this is 2016 in London and you'd think these people were in rural Arkansas the way they're so willing to do nothing in life and marry/have kids with the first person they date.

I 100% agree with this. I really couldn't fathom the behaviour of Whitney earlier on this year, so desperate for an expensive wedding and for her and Lee to get a flat of her own. She almost saw it as a mark of shame that she was living with the Carters and I couldn't for the life of me understand why. I don't want to sound rude but the most lucrative job Whitney has had so far is a temp teaching assistant position. Yes, in her eyes Lee may have a flashy job, but he's not been there for very long. I know many university grads who work in finance, law, pharmaceutical and research sectors in London who are in their 20s and living at home with their parents to save for a mortgage or for enough to be able to rent. It's completely normal in London. I know Whitney is perhaps in the dark about the extent of Lee's depression, but her self-entitled behaviour is really annoying. She is truly deluded and very stupid imo.

Oh yes the usual "big wedding" the women of EE feel entitled to despite all working minimum wage jobs. For someone who went through so much in her teens with the abuse Whitney is really just a self-centered brat now who expects everything she wants whenever she wants it.
