I'd also like to see the writers coming up with some creative storylines that don't involve bed hopping/cheating.

The one storyline that I am dreading for 2017 is Ashleys departure

Would love to see Declan make a return to Emmerdale one day.

Kerry - she has had the most ridiculous storylines; just let her leave.

I am wondering how Debbie's return is going to fit in with upcoming storylines, especially as she has sold her home now. Please say it's not going to involve the Woolpack.

Decide conclusively what they want to do with Nicola and Jimmy
Aaron and Robert split - not necessarily with Robert staying with Rebecca if he did
Storyline for Liv (I really like the character)
Continue with Ashley's storyline
Get back to using the cast more wholesomely and not just for fitting/shoehorning storylines (Rodney for example could do with something)
A returnee who could add some spice to the current show (Declan is a good shout, Nathan Wylde or someone of that manner)
Kill off Pierce
Less sensationalist crap, get back to telling amazing stories, improve on character development and community spirit, make it Emmerdale again if its not too much to ask

Hope everyone had a good Christmas 🎄- I've spent the last few days in a drink and food-induced stupor. I even watched a couple of EE episodes and enjoyed them. *hic*

I would like to see:

In general -
more community events involving all the villagers
More use of outdoor set
less concentration solely on particular characters or character sets,
less chasing of acting/ship/sexiest couple awards and more chasing of good directing/writing/storyline awards

More specifically-
Sort this Kasim Finn storyline out please! I had high hopes for my Finn but it's already gone tits up and weirdy.
No more new children or babies for an entire year, or until Heath and Cathy appear on screen in a storyline - whichever is first

I forgot my biggest hope for 2017:

Someone to shear off that dead animal on Rodney's head!

Introduce a recurring female character that breaks down in the village, Sam takes a shine to her and they swap numbers before she leaves. She'd eventually ask him and Samson to go and join her and they leave.

Bring back the character played by James Gaddas, he has connections to Brenda, Bob & Harriett. Did we ever find out why Harriett put him behind bars? Think there's plenty of scope here to give some of the underused characters a chance to do something. In typical Bernice fashion she could once again end up falling for the wrong man.

Rodney to have a health scare such as a stroke that puts more strain on Jimmy. As the pressure gets too much he loses his temper and ends up smacking Elliott. Social services get involved leading to the return of Kelly. This would give Nick & Nicola a serious storyline for once.

Finn would scare Kasim off, Victoria decides they need to get him to meet people and convinces him to go to Bar West, they start visiting regularly trying to find Finn a boyfriend leading to a date rape storyline where Finn can't recall his attacker. He starts to question himself when people tell him he just got drunk and had a one night stand. It would lead to a downward spiral for the character has he becomes withdrawn and distant.

Emma would finally become full on crazy as her lies start to unravel. Due to Gillian's portrayal I'd have her sectioned leaving the door open for a possible future return.

After Ashley dies and months of trying to hold things together for the family Laurel would finally crumble and return to the booze.

Paddy & Chas to reunite.

Pierce to finally reveal the full extent of his anger issues as he starts to become more controlling of Rhona leaving those closest to her fearing for her safety. It would end with a confrontation where only one would walk away alive.

Killing of Aaron the GOAT will be not tolerated!

1. Charity gets her balls back and attempts to get her hands on Home Farm once again.
2. Paddy and Chas reunite
3. Chrissie and Emma get their comeuppance and are written out.
4. Coira reunites
5. Kerry, Doug, Brenda and Tracy are killed off
6. Kasim gets a hair style that doesn't look like its from Dragon Ball Z
7. Aaron has an affair with Adam
8. Robert seduces Lawrence in an attempt to get his hands on Home Farm.

It would be better if that happened to Marlon instead.

Well I've seen some very unrealistic things happen in soaps but this would be right up there.

She's a dingle after all, they're all personality vacuums apart from Charity.

At one point I hated Marlon but since his pairing with Carly I find him more tolerable and at least he serves a purpose. I do like Sam but for a while I've failed to see what they could do with him. The fact he and Megan have a house share says it all.

A few people have said about Chas and Paddy reuniting. I'd like that myself but with Lucy Pargeter being pregnant I can't see it happening, or if it does it won't last long.

I can't take to Kasim. Don't know why. Emma needs to go. She is getting away with too much.
Give Brenda a better personality transplant because I like Lesley Dunlop.

Apart from from the Charity bit I LoVE your ED vision. Maybe Lawrence DlD quality as a mechanic before selling tractors ? Ronnie can turn his hand to any trade so car mechanics should be no problem

Kasim develops an attraction to Ross, breaking Finn's heart in the process.

Finn and Victoria make friends again and leave Tracy out in the cold after she meddles in Adam and Victoria's relationship when Victoria cannot get pregnant.

Harriet organises more village events like the switching on of the christmas lights.

Debbie and Ross do not embark on another love affair.

Tracy goes missing and nobody cares.

Alicia returns and begins work immediately behind the bar and has a steamy romance with Ross.

Lisa stays well clear of Zak.
