1. Charity gets her balls back and attempts to get her hands on Home Farm once again.
Charity White has a ring to it.

She would do the job and unlike Bernice, not keep moaning about it.

I don't think much needs fixing but I would like the show to stop some of the silly storylines and affairs. i.e. Moira and Pete and Kerry's comp claim.

I still like the Whites and hope they continue with more big storylines. I'd like Chrissie to get a man, not sure about Becks, don't want her constantly trying to break up Robert and Aaron as that would become boring after a while. I'd like Ronnie and Lawrence to have a nice storyline.

I'd like to see less of the Bartons next year, although I do like Emma. Finn should either be axed from the show or given a really upbeat and positive boyfriend instead of the dreary Kasim.

I think a new family is needed.

The following have run their course and should be axed: Kerry, Dan, Rakesh, Leyla (becoming annoying and a spare part)

I'd like to see more of the Dingles, less of Charity and Cain - please don't go there again.

I know Debbie is back but dread she's going to go back with Ross or Pete.

ED hopes for 2017.:

Tracey is axed and airbrushed forever from all previous episodes

Kerryman ditto.

Cain and Moira back together, for good.

Adam and Victoria to have a lovely baby.

Lisa to be srong and not take Zak back; will he find another gullible woman to keep him?

Nicola and Jimmy start to asct like adults, and no more of Jimmy's stray children arrive at their home

Paddy and Rhona get back togehter, and we see more of Leo.

Diane, Doug, Pearl and Eric all continue to play their roles as part of the village.

Ashley, Laurel, Sandy, Diane, Doug and the children - how is this going to end? I am sure it will be heartbreaking, and very well delivered.

Marlon and Paddy finally give into their feelings for one another and become a couple.

Moira and Cain reunited, and a stable couple, no third parties involved.

Kerrie to get hers. She needs to face the rock bottom, and build her way back up.

Break up Robron. Have Aaron cheat for once.

Lisa get her own sl, not paired up with Zak.

Ross and Rebecca together, a scheming duo.

Andy can never return after losing his temper with someone while on the run and true to form, kills him and ends up doing life in prison (finally)
Jimmy dies in a traffic accident, just to put an end to the ridiculous, purile SLs between him and Nicola
Vic has a drunken one-night stand with Ross who gets her pregnant and Adam leaves her - permanently
Ross doesn't acknowledge the baby, but gets together with Becks instead. And to everyones surprise, become a totally loved up, devoted, hot couple
Lachlan gets a 10 year sentence which prompts Chrissie to leave for good
Aaron and Robert move on as a couple. They get married and eventually adopt a baby
And if we have to have a 'Big Soap Event' at some stage, I'd like it to be Emma having a complete meltdown (triggered by something really mundane like no bread for toast one morning), and running amok through the village trying to slaughter everyone before being gorged by a bull on Moira's farm, because, let's face it, there's more chance of that happening than her actually getting found out and being convicted for what she's done, as it seems to be quite normal in Emmerdale for people to get away with just about anything

Will post more when I can think of them....................

I was thinking that Ross/Rebecca could be a Bonnie and Clyde paring going around ripping people off and potentially stealing Home Farm from Lawrence. They could be very interesting together.

And mine, anything else would be a bonus. Like Mick Carter in EE, she is too ridiculous to be believed and is dragging the overall quality of the soap down.

Get rid of Rhona the moaner, Tracey, Kerry, Brenda and Joanie. Apart from Joanies recent storyline, they all are pretty useless, and I can't see what they will do with Joanie now. Debbie can shove off as well, she's a pain.

Get Zak and Lisa back together (they've both had afraid before), as well as Cain and moira back together.

Bring back Kim Tate, and James, and get them installed in home farm.

On my wish list of other impossible things, bring back Carl king and get him back with chad, and please have a bit more "country" stuff in it, like seeing the singles out poaching!

Cain's keen to show Kyle how to poachi agree it would be nice to see more outdoors stuff - characters going for walks, Moira doing stuff around the farm, someone riding, or fishing, anything really.

I would like a new character who isn't a criminal, and fewer crime focussed stories. The odd bit here and there is fine - but please not almost every character dabbling in it A new character who hasn't been in jail and isn't trying g hard to get there would be nice!

There would be so much potential. Move Ross on from Debbie and Charity, give him a bit shady sl, and Rebecca is as mischievous and gray as he is. And she needs to move away from the dire Robron third wheel mess.

I'd be all for Cain and Moira taking Kyle in. Moira is good with kids, and I think they should bring more outdoorsy stuff with her farm. Let them build up the farm to be a successful one, for once. A bit of light and happiness to that side of the show.

Have the writers forgotten that Emma murdered James, or will she get her comeuppance in 2017?

I'm sur ED used to do more outdoors stuff, but then having said that, it could just be the time of year ATM that they can't take the risk of bad weather filiming too much outside.

I'd like to see a reintroduction of the stud farm in those lovely posh old stables at home farm, or perhaps a small racehorse trainer. That could have the potential to
Introduce a whole myriad of new characters. We haven't had any toff totty since lady oak well left, and it would be nice to see some more "rich" people to balance out the likes of Kerry.

A reduction in the Emmerdale crime wave.

Fewer affairs - one good affair a year is quite enough.

Less slapstick.

More scenes filmed on location.

Brenda to become more subtle.

Ashley to be cremated in the pirate ship, once he's passed away.

An end to the Jimmy/Nicola marriage/separation roundabout.

Laurel becomes a Catholic and enters a closed convent. Bernice visits and decides to do the same thing.

Kasim has a flashback, remembers what he saw moments before the crash, and accuses Emma. Emma panics and attempts to murder Kasim but ends up killing Finn. Ross murders Emma and is put away for life. Kasim buys the Salon from Bernice and starts a career as Emmerdale's trimmer & crimper. Pete marries Leyla and is given away by Moira. Moira gives birth to a child of uncertain parentage which is adopted by Adam & Victoria. Adam takes over the running of Butler's Farm and Moira spends the rest of her life staying in bed and playing the cranky matriarch.

Robert & Aaron carry on as the source of subtle and underplayed humour - they've been doing this for months now and I've come to find them quite amusing.

Happy New Year to one and all!
