I see brand new cars being pampered and being kept clean and vacuumed, but then I see cars with wing mirrors being held on with tape, dented and alloys black with grime.
What is the cut-off point for caring and keeping it new looking? 1 year? 3 Years? 10?
Its like people get very upset when their new car has even the smallest mark but at a certain point they are there with the tape, bodging up the cracked lights and fitting budget tyres to the corroded wheels. Seems a shame in a way to not keep it in a decent state and look after it to save money having to replace it sooner than they need to.
Not that it counts for much but I had my main car MOT'd today and it went through with no advisories and it is 13 years old and looks fine, no mange, damage or damp patches. I see it lasting for as long as I want to run it, but I see much younger cars looking well knackered.
