He's a joke with some very nasty friends which fortunately makes him unelectable. I'm looking forward to the 2020 GE when Labour will disappear into obscurity.

The priority is always going to be the business. This shouldn't be an alien concept to anyone.
Corbyn is starting to sound less like the conviction politician that supposedly makes him stand out from the crowd and more like the garden variety BS artist type. |

If you think him and his friends are any worse than the current lot in charge of the country then you need to wake up. In 2020 it's the Tories who should disappear into obscurity.

So he's going to run on an anti establishment ticket that puts the establishment first?

But the New Year gives all the opportunity to start the mess again. One of the best things about my job as Leader of the Labour Party is reading the tweets from some fantastic people all over the country, even Northerners. <Seamus - Jon Trickett counts as Northern right?> But every day I'm part of the political system letting down the people of this country; wow decisions made in Westminster are making people’s lives harder. <Insert strong message here (NHS, homeless etc).> As well as insecure housing there is massive insecurity at work too. Millions of people can’t plan their lives because less than a million people are on zero hours contracts - <can we fact check that?>. 2016 will be defined in history by the referendum I ducked on our EU membership. When I returned from my holiday people told me they didn’t trust politicians and they didn’t trust the European Union. <Should I mention the whole PLP didn’t trust their leader?> I understand that. I’ve spent over 40 years in the establishment campaigning for a better way of doing things, standing by for people, talking at the establishment, and opposing my party rather than trying to achieve anything We now have the chance to do things differently. To ensure the party never gets into a position of power again. <shouldn't that be Never gets into the establishment again?> Labour accepts and respects the result of the referendum. We won’t be blocking our leaving the European Union, but we can still impotently whinge. Those in charge today have put the jobs market, housing, the NHS and social care in crisis. We let them mess this up. It’s about everyone’s future. A Brexit that protects the bankers in the City and continues to give corporate handouts to the biggest companies is inevitable. Labour was founded to stand up for people, and we founded the institutions that do that day in, and day out, like our NHS. We are now the party that stands by whilst all that is deconstructed. Let’s do that, together, in 2017. <Seamus I'm not sure this is a great idea either>

No reference to the 'will of the people' nonsense , which is good to see. Are we set to FINALLY have a working Opposition in this country to this Brexit madness ? Better late than never and great if Mr Corbyn is starting to get going. He should not worry about losing some of his voters to UKIP, as he reportedly was. Let them go. They will be replaced by hundreds of thousands of Remain voters if he commits to staying in the EU ! |

If May is Henry V111 that makes Corbyn the court jester.
