Ruddy Hell. Cunk meets Cox!
I've always thought that Cunk was written to be the anti-Cox.

Charlie Brooker's bits were very funny and the Trump speech compilation was brilliant.

He nailed Cameron to a tee.

From the way he abruptly walks away after interviews, to the way he sloped off out of Downing Street & out of parliament subsequently.

That is Cameron all over!!!

Always look forward to this, and once again superb. Brooker brilliant as usual, taking the pee out of absolutely everyone and everything. It's just a shame about those two morons constantly showing up every few minutes yet again, with their stupid put-on voices, and stupid put-on faces, trying so hard to be soooo hilariously funny. I can't imagine why anyone would want to watch either of them doing anything (other than being punched).

To be honest though I did think last year's was better

I have to agree with the BIB onwards. I cannot understand why he has to have them two annoying people in it, they always ruin it for me. I have watch so many of the episodes in the past of his Newswipe/Screenwipe/Yearwipe and this is the worst one I have seen because they popped up constantly! I almost switched off half way through because of them

Really enjoyed it. Brooker on form as ever.

Only slight disappointment was Cunk/Cox. She's usually hilarious but he clearly knows who she is so was in on the joke.

It could have something to do with this being one of the most popular features with both ordinary viewers and critics alike. So much so that Philomena Cunk now has her own shows from time to time. As Brooker created the characters (played by Diane Morgan, against whom I shall hear nothing bad so don't waste your time, and Al Campbell who has also directed the show ) and scripts everything they say it is a little baffling how you can say you enjoy his humour while at the same time disparaging a major chunk of it. Hope the cognitive dissonance doesn't give you headaches.

On a similar note did Global Radio really start a news bulletin with "David Cameron has died, sorry David Bowie has died..." Or was that a joke?

And did the BBC News Channel really run a full breaking news sequence to announce that Chris Evans had left Top Gear?

Voting based on celebrity is how Merca ended up setting "The Ronald" McDonald Precedent.

i think most people at this stage have copped on who she is and what she's up to

....it was clear in the Cunk on Xmas that the experts were playing along with it

The Cunk interview with Cox was my favourite bit, "you said Things Can Only Get Better, when in reality that's quite a misleading statement" or something like was hilarious.

Morgan/Cunk and Cox should have their own show. Both are from the same part of the world (one from Bolton, the other from Oldham) and have similar mannerisms.

Ee, lad. Try telling someone from Bolton they're from the same part of the world as someone from Oldham and you'll be looking for your teeth!

Not Brookers best, but there were always going to be difficulties with this one, considering that there is over 30 mins of content that didnt make the final cut some bits could have been better.
Given that, I was surprised at how much time was devoted to East Enders. To me it seemed out of place with the weightier material.

i think most people at this stage have copped on who she is and what she's up to

I like Cunk but I don't usually like her Ali-G style interviews. They generally aren't very witty. Making fun of experts only works for me if the experts do something to deserve it. Even when she was unknown, they'd usually just do their best to deal with her stupid questions.

Can't stand the man. His show should be renamed 'Charlie Brooker is an arse wipe'.

Because not everyone watches the tenth rate TV shows they tend to appear on.
