Was on the verge of tears with Lee's storyline tonight. Great portrayal of what it's like to suffer with a mental illness.

Really enjoyed tonights episode, actually felt sorry for Lee and good acting. I wonder if he actually will do suicide, I think it could be a gritty storyline that EastEnders needs at the moment. EastEnders could really start picking up now.

Him passing his probation seemed to be a bit of a red herring and if he had failed he would have probably have flipped in the same way. Thought the acting was good and realistic with the pressure that had been building. A very good episode and I hope that Stacey's domestic bliss goes out of the window.

I guess Lee passing his probationary period is a bit of a double edged sword, he has a permanent job but one which he hates, with colleagues who are bullying him and which seems unlikely to give him the income he needs to clear the debts he has built up - he is even more trapped now

yeah, in that kind of situation he's better off to bail early. He's better off with no job at least for a little while than in a job he hates which is only intensifying his sadness

Alternatively, will Lee go and kill Oz?

Bradley worked at a bank off the square, Max was a financial advisor when he first arrived, I think there have been a few more over the years but we don't often see them at their workplace so I guess in respect to actually seeing characters at work regularly Lee is the first
Ava Hartman and Masood both worked at the school - which is not on the Square - and Abi currently works at the vets.

I have to say that was a fantastic episode tonight. The stories are all brewing up nicely and we're seeing drama unfold on screen.

Lee - this is a man on the verge of a nervous breakdown. He is on edge, he is stressed and is very depressed. Yes he made a couple of daft mistakes with the robbery and theft but his lies, and the pressure from work in terms of the bloodclaat Oz and his boss has got to him.
.
BIB - No, a mistake is picking up tea instead of coffee or forgetting your keys. Choosing to steal from your family and friends, charity and your parent's business is a crime and Lee choose to do it. Yes, he has depression but depression does not mean that you lose your morality or sense of right and wrong. Lee has repeatedly chosen to make his situation worse and I've lost any sympathy for him.

Ronnie and Roxy's joyous scenes now

It's just as well your other daughter won't be there to see another car crash wedding of yours, Jack.

I think you would've hit her Lee. Easily. And if it wasn't her it'd have been Whitney.

Surely, Lee, you don't want to be here in that hellhole anymore anyway?

Max hitting a nerve. 'Chelle obviously has no home in the US anymore.

Oh god. Having your boss watch you do a coldcall. Nasty...
Decent recovery, though [despite the nasty hidden cost].

FFS Jack. Go do one already.

Martin is right to be wary of Max.

Oh shit. Suicide isn't the answer Lee...

Max hasn't been back that long. I'm sure Martin will do it with a rusty kitchen knife.

Heartbreaking scenes with Lee tonight. It was almost uncomfortable to watch at times, especially when Oz started having a go at him by the lift. You could just see in Lee's eyes, he is a man defeated. Danny Boy is doing a great job and I hope he wins awards for his acting in this storyline. At the start of the storyline I thought he might commit suicide but i think when all his lies eventually come out,he'll end up running away and not to be seen again.

Really starting to warm to Michelle. Glad they brought her back!

Baffled at why half the residents are being so vile and judgmental towards Max. He's done nothing wrong compared to half of them!

Understand why Martin might be uncomfortable with Stacey and Max however Martin is very close with Sonia, so he doesn't really have a leg to stand on.

Great episode tonight! Overall the christmas period of episodes has been very good but very different from recent years which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

For some reason I doubt Sally Rogers would only be in it for one scene. Got a feeling she might stop Lee killing himself tomorrow and have a lot of one on one scenes with him?
Never even crossed my mind about the parking official's possible role (didn't realise who it was.

Spoiler

I like how Abi mentioned how Ronnie's wedding venue has a swimming pool
And Ronnie saying she looked like a hypothermia victim when she was trying on that minging lipstick

That was a cracking episode and DBH played an absolute blinder.

This storyline has been so very compelling under SOC and for all his terrible mistakes I really feel for Lee.

When he looked a the 'Real Man' poster it was a particularly poignant moment especially after all of the Kn**head of Oz's childish macho shite which hit the point home even harder.

All of his scenes were beautifully done.

Jake Wood is just as good (if not better) than Steve and I am so glad that Max is back - if only TPTB would allow him to get total and complete revenge over the Custard Curmudgeon I would be a very happy man.

But they won't.

A very solid nine out of ten for me.

Danny-Boy was brilliant in that episode - especially that last scene.

Poor Max - he can't sleep without having nightmares

Need a proper grissly end on a soap this Christmas no deaths so far '
I am still hoping that Philth conks out

Surely Stacey isn't going to drop her knickers for Max again? Does she still have something for him?
She will do what the script demands.

Abi taking away Dot's company!
and bring it back

Lee's got them sexy tight blue trousers on
He's f---able and fit.
I can see where Whitters is coming from to be honest. Lee do some porn - you've got the looks and the tool for it
Why is this gormless twit described as fit ?

Why didn't the plank drive to work in the first place.
Better still, sell the car and pay off some debt.

Jo from the Bill
A fine character. I know that Sun Hill closed down but why is is now a parking attendant ??????

Feel so sorry for Lee. Danny-Boy is doing a great job.
He has certainly mastered the gormless look. Unless, of course, it comes natural to him.

Lee's going to swing it and put that **** of a boss in his place.
That boss is just doing what he is paid for

I couldn't do a job like that
I could do the bosses job

a bit behind tonight, but really, why can't Whitney get a job other than working in her BF's pub...It's 2016, not 1956, why is the onus on him to provide for the both of them.
Like you said. She does have a job

Has Lee just realised he is gormless and gutless
and an idiot
If that is a suicide note it's very short.
He couldn't find the words

What is he doing? Will he kill himself?
No. Jo Masters will save him.

For some reason I doubt Sally Rogers would only be in it for one scene. Got a feeling she might stop Lee killing himself tomorrow and have a lot of one on one scenes with him?
Exactly

Lee was dishonourably discharged from the army wasn't he? To the best of my knowledge, he has no qualifications or job experience. He'd have to start off at the bottom in whichever job he's in and I think he's only done low level, ad hoc part time work at the Vic. He's suffered from depression and can't work in a stressful environment so his job opportunities and somewhat limited.
So he decided to be a low life criminal

Max is such a layered character I can't wait for him to find out what Phil did to him tonight. The Mitchell's better watch their back. I hope that he keeps it to himself though and let's the Mitchell's sweat.
