Hi, been reading the board for awhile and thoroughly enjoy the corrie threads. However, i cannot understand why people are mocking corrie over the sentence. I think it is a pretty straight forward prison sentence for arranging a sham marriage.Google seems to bear this out. Her "husband" would have simply been sent home, no detention centre, straight back to where he came from.

I agree 12 months seems about right although she'll only serve 6. She'll be released around June time. Samia will still be in Corrie in scenes from prison visits.

She wont serve 6, she will serve 3. She gets half knocked off her sentence and then she can apply to be released on electronic tag.
