Might just be that I'm used to WWE being live but I'm really not liking the preview of the next match before the ad break

Compared to the Ladder Matches I've seen that was very tame.

I can see this coming back on Saturday teatimes; its obviously aimed at the kids & family audience but its fun and still has that retro appeal of ' stagy' show-wrestling, with excellent falls etc

British wrestling should just be fat, sweaty, middle aged blokes in leotards acting badly, like it was when i were a lad.....
Too much American influence in this. |

Hoping Kirk Angle wrestles.
Quite enjoyable so far, JR is such a good commentator. So good at selling the match to the audience. |

Get the impression it's aimed more at families which is fine. It makes a welcome change from X factor and Britains got talent. |

Most people knew it was staged in the 80s an 90s, the wrestlers could still get heat from the crowd. Ask vince, hollywood hogan and other heels of the time.

Think it's probably down to the time it's on tv and the age range they're trying to promote it to?

Do people think movies are real? It's meant to entertain. Unless you're a young child, I very much doubt anyone is going to think it's real.
The fact comic books and films based on them are not real doesn't stop me from loving them and stop them from been some of the biggest box office films of the year. |

I agree but you people have become so aware of the whole thing over the past 20 - 30 years. Especially as the internet grew into what it is now. You only have to look at how in the USA the audiences hijack matches and real heat only happens when fiction/reality are completely blurred. Even then it is on rare occasions (Floyd Mayweather breaking a wrestlers nose, CM Punk ripping the McMahon Family, John Cena trolling the crowd, The Undertaker losing @WM).
Did you ever watch bushido on bravo back in the day? That was the last time i thought a wrestling promotion was real. I thought gary albright was a legit beast. |
