Not a bad week for Wrestling this week.
Tonight WOS. Monday Raw. Tuesday Smackdown and 205 Live Wednesday NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 11 and NXT. Unsure in WCPW is back this week. |

There should be a ref in the ring..... who also occasionally gets battered.

Joe Coffey better be getting the hot tag to clear the ring, he really impressed me at fear and loathing against Kurt Angle

Saturday afternoons, when i was a kid in the late 60's, was mostly always spent watching WOS wrestling with our Dad.
I totally believed it then...... pretty sure my old man did as well. |

I totally believed it then...... pretty sure my old man did as well. I remember tag teams with Big Daddy and possibly Bobby Ryan, and the storyline of Ryan being beaten to a pulp only for one last ditch tag whereby Daddy would come in and well, just stomach the other two to an early death. The storyline was repeated over and over and I just believed it all. Funny how Daddy started off as a bad guy-actually partnering Haystacks for a while early on. |

Compared to the Ladder Matches I've seen that was very tame.
The warning at the start of the show was sufficent. |

I think this is quite well put together. I'm not a fan of WWE, this is much more fun.
Royal Rumble please

The moves, choreography and athlelticism are pretty good, and the staging would make Kent Walton proud, but hasn't Wrestling reached its peak a decade back and on the downward slide ?
Anyway I can't reconcile the "entertainment" part with the sporting aspect, its absolute falseness is a major hurdle, it's the bastard son of a squelchy encounter between a noble sport in decline and TV . As Ballantine would say, Am oot. |
