Its sad. Everyday I see countries, innocent children suffering because of capitalism, politics and religion. But when I try to show people alternatives, I'm branded a monster raving loony. Thank goodness there are some people out there who can see and have woken up.

But you are talking about something that was formed in the mid sixties, so if the idea has not caught on by now its probably not going to. So I don't know why you suddenly think this is the 'future'.
Nothing wrong with having dreams, ideals etc...but such establishments are there for those that want to partake, but if people choose not to live their life that way there is nothing you can do to force them.

Do you follow/do any of the alternatives, or are you one of them that just think "oh I could do it if I wanted to" ?
I very much doubt that you can truly remove politics from any human society.
Move it to a different scale, perhaps. But entirely do away with it? No.
Besides, there's nothing fundamentally wrong with politics. The problem is generally politicians, which is a different kettle of fish.
To get set up in the community you probably need old-fashioned money to buy their new fangled not-money-at-all-honest "Aurocard".

There's the glaring flaw in the plan. It might work for a relatively small self-selecting group but it won't work for the general mass of humanity.

I think no politics is unrealistic. I think ironically people actually yearn for more politics, as it means more potential influence, instead of a mere vote red or blue.
I think these experiments are interesting, especially a city wide one because our populations have boomed, and noone really has anticipated that, and so it would be interesting how an 'alternative' city structure could work.
I think an experiment starting in Germany soon as well, forgotten specifics.
