There is, those people who know they should be more generous.

But like to keep their money firmly in the bank or under the floorboards

I got a few things from poundland, but I made sure plenty of thought went into it

Nothing wrong with cheap presents if they are thoughtful. Some of my favourite presents my boyfriend and friends got me were not expensive at all, but just were so 'me'

Everyone (apart from one!) had to buy their own presents and I had to give them the money for it...

Cheapest was £15.

I know, most all it's the thought that counts.

I was mainly just having a laugh, seeing as there is also a did you spend too much thread.

I didn't buy anything I haven't been well though so I'll treat who I care about when I'm able and they understand.

I spent about £40 on my sisters 2 kids, £14 on secret santa for work and apart from a nicer joint of beef than usual for a sunday dinner on Christmas day - that was it - Happy days!

My husband and I didnt even bother buying for each other

So liberating instead of getting caught up in the annual christmas spend frenzy

Spent about £40 all in all. Far too much if you ask me.

I spent nearly £10 on Christmas cards which I thought was quite extravagant, but didn't buy any presents, so it won't have affected my bank balance too much.
