It's a pile of shit - same old, same old. There's actually no point to any of it. It just goes round in circles with nothing being achieved. There's no purpose, no development, no meaning to any of these splitting up/getting back together stories.

They could've turned the negatives into a positive - such as Lisa getting a new lease of life, shown to be having fun and actually show her as a strong character by telling Zak to do one. Instead, the inevitable is going to happen because "they're meant to be together" - well, if that's the case, don't break them up in the first place, FFS.”

Exactly! The rape storyline for Lisa was so good and she played it so well and we are now to believe that Zak dumps Joanie and in a heartbeat Lisa has him back - awful stuff. They should have been left alone in the first place; if Zak had just been enamoured of Joanie and he and Lisa could have worked it out it would have been a much better story.

Oh right, that never occurred to me!

It's the storyliners who decide this stuff - the writers just produce the scripts to the storyliners' specifications. I think, anyway.

But whoever's doing it, it's just bad. I agree there's no point to anything, just "angst" to put on screen, every week night.

Sometimes in life, things really do just change. You move on. Lisa realising she no longer needed Zak as a partner would've been one of those. I'd have thought that was great for a soap, because it opens up all kinds of possibilities for both characters. Instead, they seem to love circular stuff where you just hit the reset button and end up back where you started. It's really lazy.

It's definitely been a part of the rough changeover period.

The Zak & Lisa seperation was clearly disliked by the new storyliner and he has sought to rectify that. It was already too far gone before he had any input to reverse the damage and so we have had to put up with the storyline presented to us. Of course, whether or not it is believable is up to the audience perception of events, I suppose.

The trouble is without a permanent head of the show - with the direction keep changing with each new producer - it's never going to be wholly consistent.
