People who commission programmes are lazy and risk-averse so they are unduly influenced by past "success".

Walliams is the new Jimmy Saville - creepy and weird but inexplicably over-exposed.
I'm no fan of his, but comparing him to Savile is pushing the envelope a bit I think.

Soon as that woman Sturgeon comes on tv, channel changed.
Funny that, she doesn't bother me at all, maybe if I were Scottish I'd think more about it.
There are a few names being bandied about on here that I've never heard of, soap characters for example, I've been in houses where East Enders has been on in the background, so I'm vaguely familiar with some of the characters, but anything Australian, Northern, or of a rural background I've no idea of, I'll be busy on Google for a while after this.
If I concentrated, I could probably come up with more, but for me the chief squirm makers are, in no particular order,
David Dickinson,
Alan Carr,
Dale Winton,
Elton John,
Ricky Tomlinson,
Lee Evans
Leigh Francis, particularly as Keith Lemon,
Mr. Bean, but not necessarily Roman Atkinson.

Agreed. A totally unreasonable comparison.

Pretty much like saying that anyone you personally find creepy, auto defaults to being a pervert in reality, whereas it's probably just in the person's imagination. People need to watch what they say in real life, or it could lead to an action for slander. Although not in this case obviously, more the principle is what I mean.
