You'd have thought Max actually did kill Lucy.

The attitude from the market traders towards him is astonishing. Ian judging him I find particularly hilarious, but Martin - obvious, petty jealousy aside - has to wonder when he's talking about why he's back to the people who fitted him up for murder!

It is bizarre - it could be guilt of course but the way they are creeping around him seemingly terrified of what he will do, was he ever really that scary a person?

Nope and there in lie the inconsistencies. Last week they were all raising a glass to Phil, who's damaged far, far more lives than Max ever did. You could be right though, perhaps it is guilt.
At least Ian and/or Jayne didn't give the whole 'Not a day goes by when I haven't felt awful for what we did' cobblers that I was half expecting.

Everyone stitched him up so they should be wary around him.

According to that flash back episode everyone had a hand in her death. They all injured her somehow.

Tonight was the first time I went "You know what Beale, I hope he gets you good"

The absolute cheek of him on the market holding court with the traders, giving their dirty looks to an INNOCENT man.

The Square knows it was Bobby, so I don't understand the looks and attitude Max is getting.

It's very weird.

Can we just say Max killed Lucy and move on as Bobby killing her was obviously a dream

I think it's to get the viewers on his side which is a very clever idea.

That's typical Ian Beale for you...I know he's an iconic 'original' character, and of course I had plenty of sympathy for him after Lucy died, but I think he's a horrible person with very few redeeming qualities. He has always sneered and looked down at other people; maybe if he demonstrated as much scrutinity to himself and his own behaviour he wouldn't have a son in prison for murdering his daughter, and another son on the other side of the world who wants nothing to do with him. If anything people should be glaring at Ian and judging him for his abysmal parenting skills.

What about Ma Mitchell?

Sharon Watts would have made it her mission in life to do everything in her power to make it up to Max - but all this blonde doormat is worried about is the repulsive pile of living excrement that she shares a bed with.

How dare Max come back home after his stint in prison for SOMETHING HE DIDN'T DO!

Poor Max, I feel so sorry for him.

You can always be sure the square's residents will pick the wrong side in an argument, like there are legit murderers wandering the square like Ronnie and Stacey but you'd think Max was Stalin the way they're looking at him when everyone knows he is innocent.

And unfortunately I don't hold out much hope of Max getting revenge. We'll all have forgotten it in about 2 weeks and he'll be having a fling with Michelle and bonding with Ian.

Meanwhile King Weeble (who has destroyed more people's lives than there are sand grains on a beach for his own sick amusement) is being toasted in the Vic as if he was Yeshua ben Yosef/Buddha//Mandela all rolled into one.

They're so entitled it's unreal.

'Why is he back' err the Square was his home for 10 years. His daughters live there. That might have something to do with it.

But if he is back for revenge it's no more than you deserve you scrotes.

Sharon putting the eyes through him in the café infuriated me.

Maybe Max will bed Jane just for good measure since she lied in court saying her and Max were having an affair so he might as well have a crack at her if he is going to be accused of it.

I'm afraid it is all just a load of plot driven claptrap that makes very little sense, if at all. Why on earth would Sharon think it is a good idea to tell Martin of all people about Phil bribing the jury foreman? They were never particularly close and that information was always going to spread like wildfire given who Martin is married too and her connection to Max.

Max's return is doing nothing but highlighting the mess that was made of the WKL? Reveal. It's a pity SOC has to tie on these ridiculous loose ends, I bet he can't wait to see the back of it.

Although, did anyone else find it silly that Martin was actually more concerned about Ian and Jane's welfare when it came to Max's reappearance? Personally, I'd be more concerned that my new wife was giggling and drinking tea with the man she cheated on her last husband with

They are acting like that because they know having stitched him up he's going to be out for revenge, so this 'nice' attitude he has at moment is keeping everyone on edge. Given his past with women other residents would also be concerned.
