Leeds United to get promoted?
Sleeping giants Leeds they're going well currently, who thinks that they are coming back up to the top flight next year? I do for some reason if not this season, next.

Too early to say we got the best player in championship in Pablo hernandez.but unfortunately is rarely Fit we got an excellent defence (when.last time anybody said that )when you take 4 points offor one of the pre seasons promotion favourites who had 80 million parachute payment and outplay them on thir own patch where they won 5 on bounce and are unbeaten at Home and one best and most experienced managers around in Bruce says this is best Leeds team he seen in years you think someting right But it's only Halfway tho and we got our most important January in 5 years coming up it Might happen but Not celebrating just yet

They are in the runnning but the Championship is a hard division. Unless something changes big time then you would fancy Brighton and Newcastle taking the first two places.
After that its the playoffs and should Leeds stay within them face tough opposition. Reading look sharp and at the moment the only threat to the top two, then you have your dark horses in the likes of Huddersfield and then the nearly men in Derby. This is without mentioning if Norwich can back in shape and any other teams who find form in the second half. Looking at history, it wouldnt surprise me if Leeds lose 3 or 4 matches sack the manager and end up mid table struggling next year. On one note, regardless of the team, would just love Monk to end up in the Premier League and Swansea in the Championship next season. Just to show that his sacking is up there as one monumental **** up. |

Alan Green and co would love them to!
(Remember after we beat them in in the 2006 play-off final he wrote a whole article moaning about how sad it was Leeds were beaten..) Monk has done very well with a settled side and maybe most importantly a settle club OFF the pitch as we've not heard much from the owner in recent months... |

Sadly I don't think we will have enough to be in the play-offs at the end of the season but obviously I hope I'm proved wrong. I also worry that if we got promoted how we'd fare in the PL next season.
I'm enjoying the league for once this season but there is a lot of teams that are capable of the last couple of play-off spots in this league. We need to have a good transfer window this month to stand any hope but I've no doubt we won't make the signings we need. |

You'd find fans are certainly more divided over his sacking than Monk's, though Monk is certainly a more popular and well regarded figure. |

God as a Swansea fan it always irks me when people think Monk got some tremendously raw deal from us. At the time of his sacking we were on a dreadful run, and our form was certainly relegation form. I like Monk and I am happy to see him doing well elsewhere but at the time I fully supported the clubs decision, as did most fans. Yes it was bittersweet because he really was a club stalwart but it just wasn't working.

Although no fan of cellino (tho can't knock him this season ) but rather have him over Jenkins any day appointing a manager from US to manage a Premier league I mean seriously who do that somebody would No experience in English league whatsoever And latest appointment in somebody who was sacked by Derby ladt season who are a championship had to be questionable at best |

On FF recently Monk was interviewed about Leeds and Swansea was naturally talked about and in a win ratio.was put up.Monk had best Win ratio
Although no fan of cellino (tho can't knock him this season ) but rather have him over Jenkins any day appointing a manager from US to manage a Premier league I mean seriously who do that somebody would No experience in English league whatsoever And latest appointment in somebody who was sacked by Derby ladt season who are a championship had to be questionable at best I've got no idea how Clement will perform at Swansea but it will take a miracle to survive this season without being relegated but he does at least have experience in European top league football and perhaps even the Americans might learn a lesson from the disastrous way they have begun life in the Premier league. Swansea got over 30 million pounds for selling the two players alone and a club that receiving plaudits for the way they had recovered from almost going out of the league at the beginning of this century has now become a club in debt. I'm not a fan of Monk but good luck to him at Leeds but I was pleased to see him sacked from Swansea, he was a divisive manager who changed the way Swansea had had their successful climb up through the divisions and it was rumoured the dressing room had been split by his tactics. |
