What an odd statement.

Can you explain its meaning, please, in relation to your statement that the rest of the world stood by and watched while the Jews were slaughtered?

Are you somehow implying that the struggle against the Axis in the war by the Allies is somehow lessened by the fact that it was not born out of the German treatment of the Jews before September 1939?

The war had already started before the mass killing of Jews began, remember.
What are you gabbling about now?

The Allies had a bunch of perfectly good reasons for going to war with Germany aside from protecting and later saving Jews. They didn't try, frankly, very hard to do either. I accept the average joe had no reason to or way of finding out but the governments concerned certainly did.

In any case, I was replying to a particularly odd post from Mungobrush (to the extend any can be deemed entirely normal...) which appeared to be implying some equivalence between holocaust denial and denial that the battle of Jericho took place. this thread is becoming increasingly odd...

Not me - I am pointing out that Israel is the military superpower of the area, both in nuclear and conventional arms terms.

Palestine is as much a threat to its existence as a gnat is to a rhinoceros.

Israel is not the victim here - despite constantly trying to make out it is.
It's not a crime to own the biggest gun, god knows they've needed it. And they are the victims; of decades of terrorism. Or is that simply a burden which it must always bear?

Somehow, peace must come to Palestine and Israel. It must happen, if necessary by the use of a very big stick very soon.

Israel is also the result of terrorism - King David Hotel in 1946. As you sow, so shall you reap.

Still justifying terrorism.

Your post was wrong, that is a fact. Something which you have lacked in almost every response so far.It wasn't "their land" it was a British territory under the Mandate for Palestine.

The Arabs wanted independent states in the Ottoman Empire and revolted with the help of British against the Turkish rulers of Palestine. See Lawrence of Arabia for information. They were more concerned with wanting independence than the creation of Israel.

The Arabs ignored international law in 1948 and declared war on Israel. The end result was some families became refugees, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria refuse to accept them back.

Again, nice try at bringing up India and Pakistan. Is that in the Israeli Government propaganda handbook as an argument to bring out when you are losing?
The only people "losing" are those who don't have facts and need to use Hamas propaganda. Then there is those who need use fictional battles to blame "the Jews" for the "first recorded act of genocide".

Why mention the partition of India? It shows how blinkered and one sided the anti-Isreali side in any discussion. They are only concerned with a single conflict out of the 250 which are currently happening in the world. They have tunnel vision. Others peoples suffering is inconsequential because the Arab/Isaeli conflict.

I'm up for it. You've just completed a line by implying something is anti-Semitic without any reason.

As you sow, so shall you reap."

This implies that you think Israel deserves terrorism because of something that happened in 1946. If that's not your intention, fine, but that's what it sounds like.

Obviously it wasn't my intention. From Galatians VI. More a note of caution. Basically, if you act in one way, do not be surprised if others act in that way towards you. Part of the vicious circle. Children throw stones - soldiers shoot children - people fire home made missiles - state drops bombs on civilians.
