1. Re-mortgage my apartment, I currently have an endowment which I do not think will cover the principle.

2. Complete 6 episodes of the stop motion series on Computer Coding I am creating. I have not decided if I should upload that to YouTube or Amazon Video (or both with a sample episode(s) on Youtube)

I like this.

Mine are:

1) First and foremost, to stay out of hospital. I am being discharged from a three week Section 2 today but it was only a couple of days ago that I was restrained for an hour after attempting to hang myself, and today's charge nurse has already told me this is earlier than he would have planned and he thinks I'll end up back in. So a long journey ahead, but primary aim is 2017.

2) Get back into employment ASAP, ideally in research.

3) Work on a stable eating pattern, including at least 2 meals each day, and challenges including: A Chinese takeaway and fish'n'chips.

4) Keep writing on my blog, try to aim for at least one post every month.

5) Practice some creative writing skills.

6) Write an article and have it published.

7) Do something to work towards my dream career.

8) Enjoy Christmas in 2017.

Other than that, I'm not really in a position to achieve my greatest ambition... To get a novel published. It's in the hands of an editor and I just have to wait until they choose to get the ball rolling. Hopefully by the end of 2017 I will be a published author.

I'd like to have another win at the national Eisteddfod, so will channel most of my efforts into that.

Other than that I plan to take it easy, as my second baby is due in July so I don't imagine I'll have much spare time for goals and achievements!”

I qualified as a translator a few years ago and am now getting lots of freelance work. What is you language pair?

Well done on writing a novel!

Good luck with that but don't push yourself too hard

Do you have any? What are they?

My top ones are
- To dance more and get better at it
- To find a job I'm good at and enjoy
- To learn to work to live, and get out of the live to work mindset I'm in at the moment
- To say YES more
- To perform more in both comedy and burlesque
- To focus more on myself and my wellbeing.”

Good luck and great idea I have a live to work mindset too, not sure it will ever change but I enjoy working hard and I have definitely reaped the rewards of it this year

So in 2017

I am aim to give myself something to look forward to each month be it a night out, theatre trip or little hollibobs
To increase the amount I walk everyday
Get a new/renew my passport
Take a trip out of the UK
Try to not hate men as much and actually give dating a chance (this will be the one I fail at guaranteed )

Get a new job unfortunately. I really enjoy it, have lovely colleagues and fancy my boss but I just don't earn enough and with my OH due to retire in the not too distant future I need to earn more.

English / Welsh. Already accepted my first job doing the signage on a retail park, and been offered some interpretation work. Only need about 3000 words to turn a profit, it's getting my name out there that will be hard work.

The novel is in Welsh too. Doubt anyone on DS will ever read it! Got two more ready to go to the publisher after this one, so there isn't much point me starting a new one for a few years.

I do French / English and have found being a member of ProZ.com useful for finding work. It may be worth registering yourself there, as it seems to be quite a popular place for people seeking translators.

My last year living abroad so lots of goals to make the most of it.

- Boston in March for St Patrick's Day.
- Vegas in June/July.
- American Road trip beginning/end August to finish off our time away and then fly home.
- Finish my tattoos and get as many more as I can.
- Work on building more muscle/strength in the gym. Want to cut a few pounds and then build again.
- At least 100lb bench press and 200lb deadlift to be achieved, very close to the latter though so shouldn't be too hard.
- Keep drawing and working on my portfolio for finding a tattoo apprenticeship when I get back to England.
- Write more! I've had a novel idea that's been on the back burner for years now.
- Make up for 3 years of lost time with my parents when I get home. Lots of time together, trips out, first Christmas together since 2014.

All in all generally work on mindfulness, living in the moment, being thankful each and every day for health and happiness

To look after myself a lot better than I have in recent years as my health is now suffering as a result. Overweight, high blood pressure and a heavy smoker. I really can't go on much longer like this. So it'll be tough (I'm not kidding myself), but I know what's at stake if I don't 'change' my ways.

Anything else I achieve in 2017 will be a bonus 🤞

I've touched on Mindfulness but I need to get into it more!
