Nothing worse than martyred women - but then some do seem to need their casual misandric ways. If men actually consistently took to their beds every time they sneezed or sniffed over the centuries then the economy would've tanked YEARS ago.

Interestingly, women are far more likely to take sick days than men - link

Although, of course, even that's been slanted to big up women and make men look stupid:-

Quote:
“Karen Steadman, a researcher at the Work Foundation, a think tank, said that men are more likely to go to work even when they should be off sick.

She said that women tend to be the main carer for children or elderly relatives, so take sick days to deal with emergencies.

She said: "Presenteeism is much higher in men than women. They are much more likely to go into work while they are ill, which can have long term consequences - conditions can go undiagnosed, they not going to get early treatment.

"Women have more contact with the health system, so they are more aware of the importance of these things and attuned to the importance of health.

"Women are more often going to be the main carer whether for a child or an elderly relative. Many workplaces are quite inflexible about emergency leave, so the only way to get that time off is sick leave."
