Hollyoaks - Eva's Dad question ?? *E4 pace*
The one thing that puzzles me about this ridiculous storyline is how on earth could Billy Brody have fathered Eva if he was imprisoned for the killing back in 1968?? Because there is absolutely no way Eva is 48 years old!! She's mid 30s maximum !!
Just another plot hole that not even the writers give a s**t about !! Terribly poor writing |

Just as Chelsea Healey is 28 playing Goldie with two teenagers who are at least 16 years old as they are in the sixth form. She was 12 when she had twins? Prince is 18 in real life. There is only a ten year age difference

She end up being Jack's.
Maths was never their strong point, probably say he got out briefly or something stupid to cover it up. |

He was a career criminal. He was in and out of prison.

Also, Clive Russell, who played the older Billy, is 6' 6" tall and of large build, but younger Billy and younger Jack were of similar height and build.

Conjugal visit?
It's not the worse HO character background hole, not by a long shot. |

Maths was never their strong point, probably say he got out briefly or something stupid to cover it up. Billy seems to have been in and out of prison, although presumably longer in than out, so could still easily be Eva's father Re the physical inconsistencies yes older Billy was way taller than younger Billy but how old were they meant to be (in the flashback)? I know people can have a late growth spurt, even into their early 20s, but the difference is incredulous. Also older Jack has much darker eyes than young Jack. Sorry but there are enough actors out there to get closer matches for the young/old versions of the brothers, their acting doesn't need to be Olivier standard for the limited scenes they did. |

I thought that about Eva's father but he could have easily been in and out of prison or even had an affair with a prison guard - that would make sense why she was raised in foster care.
The only problem I experienced with the episode that can't really be explained was, in flashbacks it was meant to be New Year's Eve right? Then why was the trees covered with green leaves when Jack and Billy killed the lad? Shouldn't they have been bare? Or was the flashback with Jack's mum in the house just set on New Year's Eve and the other flashbacks set another time of year? |

Yes - it's unlikely he would get 48 years for one manslaughter. Eva would have been conceived during one of his spells between prison senences

Has it been explained why Billy's surname was Brodie and Jack's is Osborne?

Another thing is originally when this storyline started I noticed they had seemed to have forgotten about Jack's other brother Kenneth as I remember Jack said to Esther a few weeks that "he no longer had a brother since the day Billy went to prison" so I was happy to notice they did mentioned him in the flashblack episode with the "don't wake baby kenny" line
Also wasnt Kenneth and his daughters who appeared in the late 90s/early 2000s Osbornes too.. So that still doesn't explain why Billy was a Brodie ? Perhaps he had a different dad from Jack and Kenneth ? |
