Let's not be too harsh though, there are some brilliant things about this programme:
1. Nobody burst into tears 2. The probability of anything worse appearing on TV between now and Christmas next year is extremely low. 3. It's finished. |

Anyone else hear the guy say "You're being outbid by a woman!" towards the end?

The best bit was when Noel nearly fell off the carousel and then almost got a smack in the face by a supporting arch!

I thought Noel said at the start of the show th member of the audience had brought items with them to stop too. I thought these would be more fun things like a box of socks for a three pack of pants.

Well b....r me, swap shop is back. The swaps were the worst part of the programme....they still are.
Now mix it up with some TISWAS and a bit of TFI. Then maybe just maybe................ P.S. No cat whispering please.................... |

It was car crash tv for sure but hilariously so.
Its a dark , cold. depressing time of year, bad tv is just what u need. Noel the twonk falling over was the highlight. Im shocked ive only seen the one person on this thread comment on the high pitched screeching noise - my husband wasnt watching but the noise was annoying him. |

What a shambles, hilariously bad. And who was that smug berk in the glasses who seemed to think it was funny insulting everybody he spoke to?

What a surprise - every single one them wanted the cash
To be fair, who could fault them for seeking cash given the bizarre and miserly swaps offered? A gourmet meal for 20? Kayaking lessons? Do me a favour... Noel was bounced right off the carousel by a rotund female who stood her ground. The blonde swaperator was well fit as were two of the sweet cart bidders. The desperate, cynical producers made sure they were moved to the front of the stage. Too much yelling all round...Noel was proper screaming at one point mostly out of frustration and the realisation that the show had failed in theory and practice. |

What would have happened if the last seller had taken about twenty more seconds to decide, then their answer wouldn't have made the air! (not that anyone would have either noticed or cared really!)

This is on tonight on Channel 4 at 7pm. Should be a train wreck.
Why didn't they call it Swap Shop Live? ![]() |
