Will you be staying in NYE?
I found this interesting but a local radio station put up a post on Facebook asking about plans for NYE and 90% of folk seem to be staying in with a good majority of them planning to be in bed before midnight, and this is a radio station aimed at 20's and below. it made me wonder in NYE all hype? Are we not really bothered by it? Myself I know I will be in my bed before midnight and don't plan on even having a drink. What about you are you staying in?
Going out on NYE sounds like kicking myself repeatedly in the face with a very large spatula. Why would I want to? Leave it to those who desperately need to satisfy their genitals.
Alcohol free for the first time. No point wasting money when I'm the only the one in the house who drinks.
Staying in hosting a 6 people party.
Rats to NYE.
I always have my New Years Eve on New Years day, it's much quieter, less chance of being vomited on
I'm staying in. I wouldn't mind being out but for the first time, I'm a bit wary of what could go on. I think next year I might book somewhere to stay out of London.
my son is here so we are making some food and then popping next door to a party for a while.
He will be on his Xbox most of the night but we may get Monopoly out.
I might watch Midsomer Murders and eat crisps.
Staying in with the wife having a drink up, just the two of us this year. Did the whole Trafalgar Square thing last NYE so having a quieter one with Jools Holland on telly this year

Yeah a thread such as this, shouldn't forget the likes of you!
well it will either be
me and dad watching Jools Holland,
me mum and dad (if mum feels well enough)
or me on my own watching Jools Holland
or we all go to bed early so there are four possible scenarios

were closed nyd so were having our party that night, not sure what good any of us will be the next day but hey ho lol x thanks all.
Too knackered after working thro Christmas, so a wee tipple with OH, and bed before midnight.
Might pop out early-on but will be at home with a takeaway before the morons turn out and will probably be asleep on the sofa before Big Ben bongs. I don't think I've been out at midnight on NYE for at least 5 years. Too old for that kind of thing.
I'm very boring and it's just another day to me. NYD is a Sunday and I'll just be doing a normal Sunday lunch.
Thus far the findings on here are pretty much the same, if you believed the hype you'd think everyone's is going out to get rat arsed and crawling home when the opposite is nearer the truth.

The last time I was out at midnight on NYE was for the Millennium and that was the first time for 5 years! I'm definitely too old for the mayhem that usually ensues in the local pubs around here on NYE night.
I'd rather stay in, have a few beers, see in the New Year with Big Ben's bongs and then head off to bed...
I'd like to see the fireworks and hear Big Ben strike midnight but the whole thing is just too difficult. If I have to be indoors I may as well be at home. New Year's eve in clubs, restaurants etc. has nearly always been a disappointment for me. I miss the days when people gathered in Trafalgar Square. It never lacked an atmosphere.
Staying in. Wouldn't risk Southern Rail.
