The last time I celebrated NYE at a party/club, the queue to get the venue was so long there's no way we would get in before 12am, so we headed off and got into our plan B venue which had loads of music and many rooms but few people and even less atmosphere.
Not one DJ even announced that it was NYD. Plus it was cold, across the other side of the capital and cost quite a bit to get back home safely with the hiked up cab fares.
Lesson learnt, I'm staying in and the money's staying in my pocket.

At the most I may go to a local fireworks event that my borough have may set up (they did it last year not sure about this year).
