It was lovely that they brought back O.B but it was while most of the characters he knows were in hiding. He still has a place in the vlliage. I would have liked more scenes with Tom, Darren or Tony*. Hopefully he'll be back soon.

*I haven't seen the episode yet, he may well have shared scenes with all three and I wouldn't know it yet

Today is a special day in connection with Hollyoaks. I don't just mean that the First Look Hollyoaks is the first official episode of the new year. I mean that it is Kirsty-Leigh Porter's birthday. It is a significant one as she was born on a Friday, back in 1988.

It is an honour for me to be able to wish Kirsty-Leigh a happy birthday in this, my 15,000th post on Digital Spy. Admittedly I suspended my participation in the Music Games for a few weeks to help bring this about.

This time last year I promised not to have fish on Kirsty-Leigh's birthday. I honoured my promise (on post 248 below) and had a pork & mushroom Chinese takeaway.

I think with several nicknamed members having left us this year I have reverted to real names such as Jimmy and for yourself Marianne. For personal reasons I have never felt able to call Chelsea Vampy.

The other thing I care about is Peri being able to see Steph again. As Peri is away this week their reunion will not be imminent on screen at least.

I found her snotty at first but am pleased with her for 2 reasons. Firstly, her initial arguments with Cindy enabled me to take Cindy's side, thus enabling me to forgive her for causing 2 deaths, namely Holly's dad Stan & Ollie, brother of my initial favourite Lucy. Secondly, after she so openly treated Sonia as the daughter she never had, she made it easier for me to come to terms with the daughter I never had being in Hollyoaks (in my case not Sonia but Peri).


Yes they do, especially if Daniel's dad was supposed to be Jesse or a random bloke but was in fact Louis.

Yes he is. I looked at his profile and he was most recently logged on just before 9pm tonight. He just hasn't posted on Hollyoaks recently at least.

She was in Tuesday's E4 episode at least. There has been no mention of her taking time away so maybe Ruby is just having a rest from acting new Peri scenes.

Did Leela and Louis actually apppear in a scene together before she introduced him to Daniel?

None that I noticed. We saw Leela & Jesse head out together, she came back the following morning but no sign of Louis anywhere at that point, at least not with Leela.

Something I enjoy about people being negative about Peri is that it helps me stick up for her more and feel proud to like her.
